"To do good, to avoid evil, and to purify the mind, this is the teaching of all Buddhas." -the Buddha, from the Dhammapada
Listen, we want liberty and the pursuit of success for every individual citizen of this nation, that is what Conservatism/Libertarianism is!
Yes, that is. That is why we oppose that. Of course, you always forget the other part of the story..Telling women how to used their bodies is big government,
I know!! I should be able to marry a Dog!!!!telling people who they can and can't marry is pretty big government.
Huh?? You mean forcing people to pay for something they don't believe in? Giving people free stuff just so they can keep the population down in order to save the planet, as Agenda 21 is meant to do??? Oops, I let that one out. That is what your side wants.Don't try to twist this, Conservatives talk all the time about small government when it comes to guns, financial, economics, and etc. However, they want big government in censorship, military, tax credits for the rich, birth control and I could keep going.
And for anyone who doesn't know, Bobby jindal was born and grew up in Louisiana.
Your insinuation that Republicans were, are or would be looking for reasons to disqualify any dark skinned candidate is repugnant
I like Jindal well enough but I think he is misguided. There is no way that anything he has suggested would ever result in the GOP becoming a magnet for Hispanics, single women, blacks or gays. Furthermore, Rush says that even if the GOP were to go "all in" with it's support for alien amnesty and a pathway for illegals to citizenship, that the Dems would ever 'allow' the GOP to effectively recruit those segments of voters. All they'd have to do, Rush says, is to wait for some GOP state senator or a GOP Congressman somewhere to oppose the amnesty program and then Pelosi or Reid or somebody on the left (including the folks at MSDNC) need only announce, "See? The GOP doesn't REALLY support minority inclusion. Their amnesty proposal is just a lie, a scam, window dressing, a ploy to trick you!"
And just like that all of these well intentioned ideas will be defeated before you could say, boo!
Jindal's strategy won't work. Let's not pander. Instead, let's focus on highlighting our core beliefs. Spell them out. Sell them and make them the attraction to voters.
If they stop being the "stupid party" who will vote for them, may I ask?
I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it. Voltaire
