I saw the doc, too. In fact, I raved about how awesome it was, so suffice to say I'm quite disappointed in this potential scandal. If it turns out that the boy was indeed 16 and the time of the indiscretion, he would be considered a minor instead of a child. Still, it's young enough to know that Kevin will have to be fired if the allegations prove true.

He could always move to Canada, and you and Jet could help him start a new show. You could do the artwork and Jet could do whatever Jet does.

Who cares? If this is true and he's messing with children, he needs to GO! Excusing his behavior is no different than what the Catholic Church has done or what Penn State did.

Wow! This story explains why, just a few days ago, I saw Elmo wondering around aimlessly around Times Square in Manhattan.

A 16 year old is not a child.

A 16-year-old is certainly not an adult, also 16-year-olds are still under the care and are the responsibility of their parents. Parents CAN and ARE held responsible for their "children's" actions. Therefore, a 16-year-old IS a child unless they have been emancipated.

You didn't reply to my post. I said a 16 year-old is not a child. In Canada it is legal to have sex with a 16 year old. Are you saying we are a nation of pedophiles?

    Re: Elmo the Pedophile

I have to say that, yes, 16-year-olds ARE still children. Surely, you've been exposed to teen behaviors? I have to question when people refuse to admit that teenagers are still children. They are still children, just at a different level of development.

    Discovery Health "Are teens

The part of the teen brain not yet fully developed is the frontal lobe, which is the part of the brain that manages impulse control, judgment, insight, and emotional control. So when teens engage in risky and/or foolish behavior, it's not just that they don't have life experience to know better, but that their brains have difficulty assessing consequences. Basically, teens have less myelin (the fatty coating that surrounds nerve cells). Nerve cells need myelin to send signals throughout the brain. So in teen brains, the synapses that are supposed to connect the frontal lobe to the rest of the brain are not working as well as they should. As a result, teens can't access those skills based in the frontal lobe easily.
