Dont know, and to be honest dont care anymore. If this is what people want let em have it. I am bailing out. I can see where this country is headed and I dont feel the need to be here when it gets to its destination. I just hope it dont speed up long enough for me to clear out.

I spit at lots of people through my computer screen. Not only does it "teach them a lesson" but it keeps the screen clean and shiny.

What this "conservative" party would be doing is essentially guaranteeing the next administration will be a Democrat and a two term president, and likely empowered with a democratic Senate and House during that time.

This is the same group of people who have segments of their population suggesting we'll be destroyed as a country if Obama got re-elected.

After 8 years of elections, I could conceivably see the swing over from Republicans to this new "Conservative" party enough to make it clearly the "#2" party. The problem being is that even at that point they likely wouldn't have a base strong enough to elect someone over a unified Democratic candidate.

So it's possible...but would basically "Destroy the country" based on the rhetoric coming out of some of the mouths of those in that camp.
Today on the Net I've seen clips of conservative pundits suggesting that some Republicans are saying that the reason they lost is because the party isn't conservative enough. WTF? Are we to believe people are serious when they say that?

There was a 3rd party effort this time for conservatives - the Tea Party. It began with some ideas worthy of consideration. Later, the party came under control of radical conservatives who wanted more than smaller government, fiscal responsibility and a balanced budget. Somewhere in the process the GOP in an act of wild assed paranoia sorta, kinda brought the Tea Party into the big GOP tent. By the time the GOP woke up the Tea Party had morphed into a rabid anti-abortion, Mexican hating, SSM protesting gaggle of religionists who were hell bent on social engineering America. Unfortunately for the GOP this Tea Partisans found a kinship with the fundies who have had a strangle hold on the GOP for decades.

If a conservative third party is nothing more than another party rife with ultra conservatives and maniacal religionists it won't go anywhere.

As to the GOP, if they can't throw the Tea Party and fanatical religionists over the side they will remain fairly ****ed.

Will not happen within the Republican party. Even if Cain did break away i dont think it would get much attention.

Those who think their side of the party should split will be happy. They will get lots of help from the left who will enjoy watching the 48% fragment.
