Strong Nor’easter targets devastated Northeast | Weather Rapport

This is probably almost the worst possible news, but a nor’easter seems more and more likely to hit areas of the Northeast devastated by Superstorm Sandy.

The upcoming storm, set to hit Wednesday and Thursday, won’t be nearly as strong as Sandy. If forecasts hold, the size of the expected nor’easter under normal conditions would be enough to cause relatively minor coastal flooding and erosion, cut power to some people and create minor flooding in the Northeast.

The problem is, this isn’t a normal situation. Sandy wiped away sand dunes, making coastal areas more prone to a nor’easter’s storm surge than usual. It’s not like New York City’s subways will flood again, but Sandy-wrecked coastal communities all along the Northeast Coast face the risk of more flooding and more damage.

Water is high in Northeast rivers, and the electrical grid won’t be put back in place by Wednesday, so the storm will create more issues, too.

I heard this on my local weather this morning. Terrible news. :(

Obama has to love the timing...the day AFTER election day.

Weather isn't partisan.

Never said it was. But, Obama sure as hell is glad that the noreaster isn't lashing that area this weekend.

You know someone makes a topic about how the North East is going to suffer more after the hurricane, and all you can think about is what Obama thinks about it and how it'll help him politically?

As should you, since the Federal response is crap. Sounds like you're putting politics ahead of human lives, running cover for the clowns that are letting these people die in the streets, because Obama can't get them the necessary life saving supplies.

Who is dying in the streets due to lack of necessary supplies?

I'm not covering for anything, I just wanted to point out how you say people are dying in the streets and then post a source that mentions no one dying. You think I'm here to defend Obama or whatever else, but I'm just arguing against you because your statements are factually incorrect.

So next time you talk about "People are dying in the streets because Obama is a terrible President and can't/won't move supplies" make sure at least one person has died from lack of supplies.

So, everything is just honkey-dory? Glad you think things are going so well.

Thats not what I said, I said people aren't dying in the streets.

Read what I write, not what your eyes and brain want you to see.
