Re: Top Bank of England director admits Occupy movement had a point

So it looks like Occupy's movement has harnessed some slow change in England. Looks like something is actually happening.
Or maybe a cynic might argue that this is rich suited establishment figure going along to a group of people and making the same usual patronizing speeches that politcians make.

"We've listened to your voices, we agree with you, its time for change, so you can go home now youve achieved what you want"

    Meanwhile nothing changes.

I dont know, maybe Im a cynic but listening to what Occupy were saying, & comparing it to what the British government have done, Im inclined to think, with my cynical mind this is closer to a polite "**** off" than its to what its portrayed as.

"The term undead describes beings in mythology, legend or fiction that are deceased yet behave as if alive." Perfect description of the occupy movement! HA

I won't believe any policymaker, at least in the U.S., will actually be pushing forth the Occupy Movement's agenda until 10 years from now when those involved in the protests are of an age to campaign for seats in the House.

Re: Top Bank of England director admits Occupy movement had a point

The Occupy movement isn't dead because, in a way, the Occupy movement never existed. Occupying is a TACTIC that was used to some extent and has now gone the way of the dinosaur, at least in the US. You would be kidding yourself if you think that because the camps were evicted, that people are no longer pissed off and now, all of the sudden, want to go back to the way things were. Hell no. That is not the case at all.

I will say it again OCCUPYING WAS A TACTIC THAT HAD ITS LIMITATIONS AND HAS RUN ITS COURSE.

If you guys think this is over, wait till the next economic crisis. You won't be laughing then because the country will be on the verge of civil war.

I'm going to assume you've never been to an occupy rally. The people there aren't like that at all.
