Superstorm Sandy blamed for at least 11 U.S. deaths as it slams East Coast – This Just In - CNN.com Blogs

Editor's Note: Sandy unleashed powerful winds and torrential rains Monday in the mid-Atlantic and Northeast as it sped toward shore. Subways and bridges were shut down and streets were quiet as gusts howled over a huge region encompassing hundreds of miles. At 7 p.m., the National Hurricane Center stopped classifying Sandy as a hurricane, though it still continued to pack a wallop.

I've even seen reports of maybe up to 20 deaths including a Canadian. Let's keep them in our thoughts, and be grateful that it wasn't worse.

I just saw pictures of Queens where it seems that a fire wiped out mist of a whole neighborhood near Rockaway. I didn't see where any deaths were associated with it so that's good.

You can tell where people's hearts are. Can't you just feel the love flowing in here?
