More politics of pettiness to cover up for failed policies. I missed where the Obama campaign gave campaign contributions to "help some people out."

From your research: "And we should also mention that the Republican Party’s 2011 spending bill slashed the budget for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, cutting $700 million intended for an overhaul of America’s aging weather satellite system."

You mean we didn't have enough data and HD pictures from the stratosphere to know that this was coming!?

NOW, let's all wait and read what Helix2048 had done himself. I suspect, like many "liberals," his view is that he should do nothing and insist others do all charity work. We'll see if I'm right about that.
When hurricane Katrina hit, I donated all my air miles (from 15 years of flying) to the red cross, so they could fly people down to assist with relief. I haven't been in a financial position where I could offer cash assistance and I really wanted to help out, and that was the only way I could. So I do care about people.

I'm only poking fun at Romney because I can. Yes, I give him props for donating a tour bus to ship supplies from his offices to VA. Although the storm seems to be doing more damage WAY NORTH of there. I think he needs to look at a map.

Usually that sort of space is sold to Google who target the ads based on what you've searched in the past. They're different for everyone. So now we now what you search for! Look on the bright side, at least it wasn't ads for Brazilian amputee dwarf porn.

Only a fool gives to the Red Cross.

Back with 9-11, the Red Cross went on a massive fund raising drive "for the victim's survivors." People sent 10s of millions of dollars. Then the Red Cross POCKETED all the money, claiming they instead put it into their "general fund." By law, they only have to spend 10%! towards helping people and they can pocket the other 90% for themselves in terms of "salaries, benefits and perks."

It is IMPOSSIBLE to give towards victims of Sandy, because the Red Cross does not allow earmarking money. They want it - for themselves.

It also is IMPOSSIBLE to give tangible items for relief in regards to Sandy or anything else, because any tangible items are just put on pallets and sold at auction CHEAP to "thrift stores" - because again the Red Cross only wants CASH and it will all ONLY go into their "general fund" - meaning 90% into their own pocket.

Maybe he does, and he also gives $millions of his income to charity without claiming it on his taxes.

Am I reading this correctly? Romney sent his campaign bus to bring relief supplies to Virginia and his campaign offices are collecting supplies but somehow or other this is supposed to be campaigning and obstruction?

    That's just pure insanity.

I didn't say that was obstruction. I'm sure the good people in VA need those supplies more than the people in NY.

I remember this same foolishness of blaming Romney for the 9/11 anniversary attacks because of Romney's immediate statements after the attacks. Now the loons want to blame Romney for the quality of Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.

Note to the loons: Obama is president, not Romney. Romney has no responsibility, obligation or power in this event whatsoever. Got it? Now let's start analyzing Obama's response and skip the endless nonsense.

Easy.... follow the Red Cross and other relief institutions guidelines... Donate money.. and in Romney's case a buttload of money. He can afford it after all. Getting "supplies" is nothing but a photo op and goes against the wishes of main-stream relief organisations guidelines.
