If this indeed happened, it's not cool.

Sean was wrestled to the ground by both persons, held down by a constricting chokehold, and struck repeatedly about the face and head. He nearly passed out from the chokehold and suffered contusions to his face and eyes. Fortunately, an alert neighbor heard the commotion, scared the individuals away, and called the police.
I think something else was going on and he blamed it on someone stealing his yard sign and attacking him. It doesn't make sense that he saw someone stealing his sign and got attacked, yet the neighbor somehow scared the individuals off. Sounds like a fishy story to me.
Scientific fact: If you took all of the veins from your body and laid them end to end, you would die.

Yeah that is why I did not comment. My gut is that he went out and found them and went ballistic up in their face at which point it escalated from there.

Brian Sikma leans just a little right and like Breitbart, lacks in facts, IMHO. Face it, the credibility of right wing blogger pundits like Breitbart, James O'Keefe and this guys don't really have anything but distortionsa and lies. If this were true, FOX would have picked it up first.

Will be interesting to see more details as they emerge. A senator in a state like Wisconsin would be ill served by supporting a fraudulent retelling of events, so I hope for his sake that neither he nor his son are embellishing their versions of events.

Edit: the article referred to at the base of the original post references NBC's local affiliate coverage. Apparently, police are taking the issue seriously.

This sounds much like the story four years ago about the woman who was attacked and somebody marked up her face because she supported McCain.

And that 'story' broke in late October two weeks before the presidential election.

One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers

Local newspaper had the following regarding the incident

The Democratic Party of Wisconsin issued a release on the incident Tuesday.

"This kind of illegal behavior is completely unacceptable," said party chairman Mike Tate. "It is our sincere hope that the perpetrators of this assault are quickly identified, found and charged."

Whitewater police described the suspects as clean-shaven white males, both about 6 feet tall and weighing 185 pounds.

Obviously not some dirty hippie commie libs, they are never "clean-shaven", at least according to some folks we aren't

ďAnd I have no doubt that every new example will succeed, as every past one has done, in shewing that religion & Govt will both exist in greater purity, the less they are mixed together.Ē
