    2. For the Bush tax cuts to expire, Obama had to do nothing. Instead, after the election, he personally endorsed renewing them. They are now NOT the Bush tax cuts, but the OBAMA tax cuts. If he wanted tax cuts for the middle class, he could have proposed this to his Democratic Congress. He did not.
    3. He vowed to close Gitmo within 1 year. All it would take is his signature since he is commander-in-chief. He did not do so.

If Obama was incapable of doing anything but the exact opposite of what he promised because he couldn't work with a Democratic majority in both the House and Senate, then at best Obama is totally incompetent, isn't he? Republican in Congress were an irrelevancy in terms of legislation his first 2 years.

To claim a candidate cannot change his position would be just claiming everyone is obligated to be pigheaded ignorant unable to change, modify or compromise.
Not quite as false as you are.

    1. The Democrats had control of both the House and the Senate for only two years. In the mid-term elections, the House won a Republican majority and the Democrats lost their filibuster-proof supermajority.

    2. Obama endorsed the Bush tax cuts only on the middle class. He wanted those tax cuts to expire for the wealthiest. However, that didn't happen because of negotiations with Congress to get other things.

    3. And yet those detainees were blocked from coming to U.S. soil by Senators who thought that such a prison for detainees on U.S. soil would be too much of a security threat.

So you are quite selective in regards to Obama's presidency by saying that he should have done everything he campaigned on in his first two years.

Especially when you oppose his platform and voted for Republicans into other offices to oppose him.
Also, we need to legalize recreational drugs and prostitution.

The college mentality adopted by the Democrat party has long passed the point of stupidity. Populist bull**** like "you didn't build that" and "businesses don't create jobs" are great for attracting the poor but at some point reality has to set in. It should be very obvious to everyone by now that corporations are doing just fine without the American worker. The very some companies Pres. Obama wants to see hire more are telling him that his policies are not conducive to hiring.
I never said anything regarding whether companies threaten to lay off people or not depnding on the vote. I could really care less. I think this thread really is a bunch hullabalue about nothing, employers say their piece, employees say theirs and everybody deals with the consequence fo their speach. Like I said no biggie. Unions influence people, business influnce people, family influence people, everyone is influenced in one shape or another by everyone else. Its how the world works.

    Lol

Election outcomes in the USA do not effect the economy.

You live in a Corpocracy, which is a form of fascism. The puppet clowns you elect in the Oval Office serve the Corpocracy, NOT you or your fellow US citizens.

Your function and duty is to shut up, consume and OBEY.

That is a very real concern of employers and everytime the government adds new expenses for full time employees, more positions are changed to part time. From Home Depot to grocery stores, restaurants to shipping companies, more and more no longer hire people full time to avoid benefits costs.

By people having to work 3 part time jobs to equal 1 full time job with benefits - adding their driving time and expenses between jobs, they basically work nearly every waking hour of their life.

The other factor is elderly business owners who could retire anytime they want to. They like the extra money of their business and the don't want to lay off employees they had for years. But if it too much a hassle they will, and increasing numbers are. That also means they reduce their spending and do, obviously, all their unemployed employees creating a downward spiral. That downward spiral is extreme around here. Every month driving the strip there are another dozen empty store and shop fronts.

It is not JUST the reality of Obama, his rabid anti-business and anti-wealth speeches create a perception. People do not make decisions on reality. The make decisions on what the perceive reality is.
I'm going to play devil's advocate on this comment. True, many employers will try to limit their workers to part-time. What will happen to these companies when people stop working for them and work somewhere else? Employers can only play hardball for so long before the employees quit. Eventually the part-time BS will end since it's hard to make money when you don't have a staff.

Just like increasing taxes, there will be an uncomfortable period of adjustment for employers and employees. There is a reason why the ACA takes effect at varying degrees over the course of years. They tried to take into account a period of adjustment. It is illogical to think that all employers are going to cut their staff to part-time and that will be the way it remains. If it were truly effective to run a company that way, all jobs would be part time right now and everyone would be making crap for pay.

That is the direction we are heading. Household income is not keeping up with inflation and people are making less. More people are working part time. It is not in our best interest to continue in that direction.

Re: A Second CEO Threatens To Fire Employees If Obama Is Re-elected

If Obama is elected we will be shutting the doors to our business and have to lay everyone off and work out of our home.....if Romney wins we will be keeping them open. We have a small business and cant afford all that Obama is throwing at us.
