Cleveland Bus Driver Suspended After Decking Unruly Female Rider With Brutal Bolo Pun

Re: Cleveland Bus Driver Suspended After Decking Unruly Female Rider With Brutal Bolo

I don't blame him for hitting her, she hit him first (or at least it seemed like she did). And he obviously didn't hit her all that hard, since she got right back on the bus and continued fighting with him.

Where I think the guy was in the wrong, and the transit authority was absolutely justified in firing him, was in his unprofessional behavior before it got physical. She was being a giant bitch, no doubt about it, but he wasn't responding in a professional manner. He should have just ignored her, or told her to go sit down. Instead he responded with insults and threats and escalated the situation until it got violent.

an example of the double standard. she was clearly a hostile, violent lady, who needed to be arrested. instead, this poor guy takes the fall for her violent ignorance. good game, sexism, man 0, woman 1.

See even now you are restraining yourself calling her a lady.

See this is what I said.

Don't feel bad about it, we all have. And it's good conditioning, because men need to restrain themselves around women. But this woman gave up that special privilege. The bus driver restrained himself, because if she were a man she would have been bleeding, had busted teeth, and wouldn't be talking.

Bus company has no choice.

I'm kind of mixed on this. She definitely deserved to be put in her place but it did come across as unprofessional of him.

I don't like the fact that women (some) think they should be able to strike a man and be immune from retaliation.

Actions have consequences ( which she must have been able to avoid for most of her life if she thought that was acceptable behavior ).

Re: Cleveland Bus Driver Suspended After Decking Unruly Female Rider With Brutal Bolo

The driver was wrong to hit her, but she clearly has judgment issues.
She believed she could challenge, yell at, and even strike the driver without consequence.
Most of us, by junior high, learn that in social interactions, there are boundaries, that if crossed can result in our own pain.
We also learn how to not cross those boundaries.

Re: Cleveland Bus Driver Suspended After Decking Unruly Female Rider With Brutal Bolo

He is a man so naturally any attempts to defend himself will always be disproportionate.

She hit him that is why he hit her. There was only a few seconds between when she hit him and he hit her,so there is no telling how much long she would have went on if he didn't defend himself.

Dude, come on. She gave him a slap that didn't hurt him at all so he pulls out the finishing move from mortal combat and knocks her chin off and you think that's what needed to happen? He shouldn't have been arguing with her like that in the first place. If she was too rowdy, he should have told her to get off the bus.

Admittedly, after listening to her through that video I was getting excited to see someone shut her up, lol.

The controversy over this incident reminds me of something that annoys me. In general, I hate the back and forth of people wanting to exploit their differences if and only if it is in their favor. Pick one side and accept the pros and cons of that side. I believe this is a major cause for the decline in gentlemen and true ladies. If you want to be treated like a lady then act like one. If you want to be treated the same as men then don't cry "but I'm a female" in situations like this.

Being put in her place is wording that I'm attempting to avoid, and I'm sure you didn't mean it the way most women would take it. But in the world of physical violence, that is pretty much what happened to her......almost, as I explained above. It could have been much worse for her.

Men are brought up from childhood to understand that if you step up into someone's face, be prepared to except the consequences. Women are not, and the fact that they are generally smaller, (and cause we really like them ;)), men are restrained and taught from childhood to hold women in special regard (at least in my world). Most men I know wouldn't appreciate a women taking advantage of that...too much, by getting physically violent with them. I'm pretty sure that 60 year old bus driver had to overcome quite a bit to finally stand up and punch her in the face.

The woman got what she deserved. The bus driver should be congratulated.

Cleveland Bus Driver Suspended After Decking Unruly Female Rider With Brutal Bolo Punch | The Smoking Gun
A Cleveland municipal bus driver has been suspended after video surfaced this week showing him decking a mouthy female rider with a bolo punch.
The confrontation between the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) worker and the unidentified woman was apparently filmed by another rider. It is unclear from the above clip, however, what triggered the dispute.
[WARNING: The video is peppered with curse words and racial slurs.]
The driver of bus 2802 leaves his seat after the woman appears to strike him. "You going to jail now," the driver says twice before throwing an uppercut that knocks the woman to the ground.

Well that was horrifying to watch.

The woman should be charged with assault.

The man...aggravated battery.

Re: Cleveland Bus Driver Suspended After Decking Unruly Female Rider With Brutal Bolo

This is what does it for me, its why i feel bad for the buy and couldnt care less about the piece of **** so called woman.

I always try to put myself in the situation.

If im on that bus, i call 911 and report her, after about 2 minutes of ignorant, savage, uncivil, nonsense like that and me being concerned for the bus drive/passengers since she is distracting him, I remind her of what she is doing.

Im sure without a doubt she then begins to call me all types of names and yelling etc. I then proceed to tell her to shut the **** up and sit down before you make us wreck. Then im pretty confident she comes towards me and proceeds to spit on me and take swings at me.

Being this "women" is a complete stranger, proven nutball and shown no reason what so ever to be deemed a nonthreat, rational or even sane, OF COURSE i classify her a threat. So instead of the busdriver on video you get to see me, after being spit on and assaulted stand up and knock this bitch right the **** out, lay on top of her and wait for the police to show up.

Disturbance ended, safety restored and disaster averted.
