Only a globalist piece of **** would think this is a good idea.

Hillary Clinton Pushes for Global Tax on Elites | The Weekly Standard
n remarks this morning to the Clinton Global Initiative, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton proposed a radical idea: a global tax on elites around the world.
"One of the issues that I have been preaching about around the world is collecting taxes in an equitable manner, especially from the elites in every country," Clinton said to laughter from the audience. "You know I’m out of American politics, but – (applause) – it is a fact that around the world, the elites of every country are making money."
Clinton continued her rift on the rich. "There are rich people everywhere. And yet they do not contribute to the growth of their own countries."
The secretary of state suggested that the rich around the world do not give back to their communities. "They don’t invest in public schools, in public hospitals, in other kinds of development internally," said Clinton.

From the OP:
"Clinton continued her rift on the rich. "There are rich people everywhere. And yet they do not contribute to the growth of their own countries."

So is she condeming Pelosi, Reid, Obama, herself, Or is it the "other" rich she is refering to? Guess Gates is doing nothing also.

Maybe she's going after Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, and the other 20+ wealthy Americans who have pledged 1/2 of their wealth to charity upon death and/or who have already given massive sums of their wealth.

Maybe she's going after Romney, who donated 30% of his income to charity in 2011.

Maybe she's going after her husband, who (with G HW Bush) has donated millions to AIDs prevention.

Maybe she's going after George Soros, who has donated over $330 million.

Maybe she's going after Chris and Jamie Cooper-Hohn, who've donated billions to children in India and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Maybe she's going after Thomas Siebel, who's anti-meth campaign helped dropped Montana's teens from #5 in usage to #39.

That was a damned stupid thing for her to say. Especially given her close connection to wealth and philanthropy.

But I guess it doesn't count unless the money is taken from the rich by force of law. Charity just isn't the same as taxation. It doesn't mean as much, I guess.

She can't be president of the United States so she is now campaigning for president of Earth?

Politicians really look ignorant when they use broad generalizations to appease an audience to which they are talking. What the eff is she talking about?

It is the old saying, "do as I say, not as I do". After that statement, no way would I ever vote for her for President. It is interesting the press hasn't challenged her on it.

Meanwhile....Africans and Southeast Asians are just shaking in their boots over her "worldly" proposal.

She has looked everywhere for someone better and she keeps ending up with the man in the mirror.
