they can't work at McDonalds because mcDonalds has donated to pro-gay marriage groups and they boycotted them years ago during the whole prop-8 thing.

LOL - in Atlanta they had Mr Pibb in the soda machines!! What the hell - WHO the hell puts a knockoff of a soda in a damned soda machine?!! I think I cursed out loud when I saw that.

I wouldn't worry about it. People use terminology and references they would ordinarily oppose had they known the background to it. As social media regularly demonstrates that it is a plague to all that want some semblance of constancy in human interests, it's a day-long controversy at best.

I would have bet a shiny nickle you would have not used McDonalds as their career opportunity but the TSA... ;)

I like the idea of a boycott, if nothing else it gives us a gauge to determine interwebz outrage vs real world affect. Be it chik-fil-a, oreo, or panties.

Hmm - I didn't know that. I've heard of Pepsi-Cola but never knew it was a cola flavored pepsi. Interesting. . . I guess I sort of knew about sprite but forgot.

When you're an addict you just slowly forget everything else exists - I can't recall the last time I drank something other than Dr Pepper for a soda . . . DP or water.

No I will not boycott Dr. Pepper.Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Besides that its not like Dr.Pepper is funding evolution school text books and videos.Even if they were it harms no one.

That said if there were christianfacsists bombing,murdering and causing other violence over evolution you know there would be lots of terrorists butt smoochers out there saying oh evolution is offensive to Christians, we shouldn't be deliberately offending Christians and claiming Dr. Pepper is nothing but offensive bigots and has blood on their hands.
 
Well, impotent outrage over tongue in cheek ads is hardly the sole purview of the religious. I remember racism allegations over a Playstation ad and accusations of sexism over men being portrayed as incompetent at household chores in feckin oven cleaner ads.
 
If anything - I would assume they're making fun of the evolution concept (if I was going to take it too seriously, which I'm not) . . . but I'm surprised no one seems to think that way.

Meh, just seems like a send up of 2001: ASO if anything. Could be viewed as a pisstake of that, evolution or intelligent design.
