Dr Pepper Evolution Ad Creates Controversy on Facebook

This is ri-god-damn-diculous.

Does this mean I should go buy a Dr.Pepper at Chick-fil-A?

Yay Dr. Pepper. I'll drink one for that.

For **** sake people are ****ing retarded. We as a society have a giant stick up our collective ass, and we need to all pull it out, and lighten the hell up.

Sometimes it's easy to forget that we live in 2012.

Meh.

The Conservapedia Class folks will lose their **** over this but no one else.

It blows my mind how some folks out there hate evolution with such a passion.

I don't see why it's a big deal. People can boycott if they want, but boycotting over this is stupid.

I feel the same way about those that vehemently hate creationism or the idea of theistic evolution. People become ignorant and dogmatic, that causes such reactions on both sides (and pretty much on any issue).

It is incredibly silly for people to get offended by this ad, in my opinion. However, as a national brand, it's not really wise to choose an advertising scheme that could be considered controversial or offensive by some so you don't end up potentially losing some of your target demographic.

I don't hate the idea, don't know many people who do.

But I do hate the idea of people trying to put it in science class because they believe it carries the same scientific weight of say... evolution.

That's what annoys me, and I have a feeling you're mistaking what I hate, and thinking it means hatred of creationism itself.

I notice the chimps in the ad didn't have any Dr. Pepper. So I guess the apes posting in discontent on facebook have identified themselves clearly.

Oh - I love it!

I can't believe some people still don't understand the theory of evolution - and I'm sure they'd complain just as much if God was holding a 6-pack of it, too.

Ava and Sig upgrade coming up!

I know I'm not the only one, but I just don't see where belief in God and acceptance of the theory of evolution are mutually exclusive.

I'm right here with you, brother.

boycott Oreos and Dr. Pepper!

more for meeeeee!

It might be a blow to DP. The South loves it's Dr. Pepper. Damn, mine is empty, brb...

10-2-4 ya'll....

Dude, the comments on Facebook for the ad are full of LULZ.

I'm not about to let what some nitwitts in zombieland think of my dr pepper kill my addiction to it . . . I might have to up my daily dosage to continue support.

Atlanta airport sucks, by the way - I had to take a long walk through two concourses to find a single shop that sold DP! Great Wraps - Concourse A . . . if anyone needs to know.

I can't believe the Atlanta Airport is so lacking in DP. I would go nuts in Pa when the waitress would try and tell me Mr. Pibb tastes just like Dr. Pepper! Damn Yankees! ;)

They celebrated their anniversary with special nostalgic cans made with real sugar, M R GUD! The taste was much crisper.

Anywho, let the creationists rant and rave, i doubt DP feels any pain.

As an aside, I wonder how that Oreo boycott is going....
