TAMPA -- There are tensions just below the surface at the Republican convention. The GOP ejected two people from last night's session for allegedly throwing nuts at a black CNN camerawoman, and saying, "This is how we feed animals."

Glad that the Republican party is tolerating none of the racism that a few people seem to be displaying.

Well done!!

Clever setup.

Some Twitter users are casting it as a racial issue. But it should be noted that some Republicans dislike many media members, regardless of color.
Thought this was worth highlighting as well. Not that it makes it much better.

If it was intended as a racial remark, it's hard to believe that this was anything other than an attempt to make the GOP look bad. If you truly support the party, you're not going to run up to a reporter and do something like this.

Too bad it wasn't caught on camera so that the remarks could be put with a face; if not to be known by the rest of the world, to be known by their family and friends

I knew there were going to be "false flag" accusations.

Look, Republicans. Some of your supporters are racist dip****s. It's just statistical reality, in any sufficiently-sized crowd there's going to be some. That didn't stop you from painting OWS as all being a bunch of criminals wanting handouts and whatever. Tell me again why I shouldn't paint your entire party with this?

Racism? Oh I get it, feeding the monkey peanuts right; isn't that the stereotype? Uh.....monkeys don't eat peanuts, so where's the racism? You're making **** up now.

Funny, all the people pointing fingers and screaming about the MO of these idiots, especially when we don't know anything about who they are or where they came from.

Let's point fingers and cast blame and lower ourselves to the same level of discourse as the assholes who got kicked out, though. That's surely the best option here.

The fact that they threw stuff at journalists documenting the convention is what is despicable. Attention children, you don't throw stuff at people for no reason.

GOP needs to wake up to the growing asshole mentality creeping into their party.

But...racism is all on the Left. Rush said so. :lamo

I'm actually not sure whether he directed it at the person because they were black, or they worked for CNN. It's not like TPers have any respect for any media that's not Fox. Whatever his motivations, it's a pretty classless display of disrespect. Good on the Republicans for kicking his ass out.

Well, actually we do know who they are. They were attendees - quite possible delegates - to the Republican National Convention. It's not like they were beamed there from the Starship Enterprise.

I hope to almighty God you're being sarcastic

Why the heck would they have peanuts at a Republican convention? Where is the tie-in?

Throwing food should get people thrown out, that is assault.

Anyone notice how MSNBC minmized showing minorities in the convention audience? It is called "censorship based on race".

That's in a different thread.

Deflect much?

Don't feed the trolls. He's trying to deflect the thread away from "Classless Buffoon at GOP Convention" to "Liberals are the root of all Evil."

The story isn't true anyways

Provide some video proof libs or it didn't happen. Period.

From the OP:

"CNN can confirm there was an incident directed at an employee inside the Tampa Bay Times Forum earlier this afternoon. CNN worked with convention officials to address this matter and will have no further comment.
"

Now, since this was a camerperson, it would be odd if there were video, because the networks are (understandably) more interested in showing the action instead of putting the cameras on their technical folks.

So where's your link that it didn't happen? No righty blogs. A real source.

No. I didn't notice that, and neither did you. Because that story was completely fabricated, you liar. MSNBC covered the same speeches as Fox News, with only one exception.

Sarcasm, like humor, is not found among Republicans. They are very serious people. Also deluded, as you will note from the post on the previous page.

Back on topic, that post was just an attempt to put attention on anything other than what happened. You're forgetting rule #1 of DP -- If anyone on your side acts in a way that looks bad, deflect, deflect, deflect!

The nut throwers were either a couple of nuts themselves in a crowd of thousands or they were plants to give the liberal media the opportunity to say " There are tensions just below the surface at the Republican convention." Chicago thug tactics on display.

Yes, they must have been plants! Republicans are saints and never ever do anything bad.

A couple of nuts out of thousands, yes. Plants? Please...some of you guys will believe any crazy conspiracy...Maybe they were plants of the Kenyan government who used the CIA's time machine to make their escape. Yeah, that's way more possible than the theory that maybe a couple of Republicans are assholes.
