Missouri Republican claims 'legitimate rape' rarely results in pregnancy[W:137]

Your opinion. I think it's appropo. Apparently you didn't peruse the ENTIRE post, especially the quote he was responding to.

LoLz. He was responding to the initial post, which was the story that the thread is about.

Re: Missouri Republican claims 'legitimate rape' rarely results in pregnancy

I got it from the mouths of Romney and Ryan's Pro-Life voting base......

Georgia Lawmaker's Anti-Abortion Proposal Could Punish Women for Miscarriages | Fox News

Introduced by Rep. Bobby Franklin [of Georgia], the bill would require that any woman who has had a miscarriage report the incident to authorities within 72 hours of its occurrence. At that point, an investigator will be dispatched to determine the cause of death, and if the mother cannot prove that there was no “human involvement,” then she can be charged with “prenatal murder,” which carries the penalty of death or life behind bars.

Better start voting to build more prisons, Lurker....and more graveyards because we're going to need them if Romney and Ryan are elected.

I'll try this again ... where and when did Romney and Ryan endorse this? Just because some Georgia lawmaker did this doesn't mean that R&R do.

Not sure if this is faulty logic, general rationalization or just plain bovine processed oats ... probably all three.

Again, I invite you to show me where R and/or R said this.

It is very strage that this thread has over 200 posts (in the first place), and they're not all "Wow, that's probably the most idiotic thing I've ever seen a politician say".

I mean, what are you people discussing?

If he stays in, he's toast. Just ask Santorum how well his stance on "Babies from rape are a gift from God" helped him get the Presidential nomination.

That is the GOP mantra.

In an interview with KTVI-TV over the weekend, Akin had said that “the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down,” referring to pregnancy after so-called “legitimate rape.”

Barnes “echoed Mr. Akin’s statement that very few rapes resulted in pregnancy,” according to the Times, and she added that “at that point, if God has chosen to bless this person with a life, you don’t kill it.”

So rape according to the GOP is God's choice and if a woman becomes pregnant from being raped "God has chosen to bless this person with a life." What kind of a sick and demented person would say that? It seems to be a GOP position and the GOP wants to make it policy.

Hucklebee also said today that a number of great people have come from women who were raped. This is apparently the way the GOP thinks. Look at their proposed Constitutional Amendment. And people doubt the War On Women.

Since a global mod said this, it must be true.

A L

More likely I know it since it is the post he quoted in his post. It is subtle clues like that that are a dead giveaway.

LOL! You Mods are quick to grab those subtle clues. I stand in awe of your Modness.

Mod is good.

OK, we have legitimate rape, and we have forcible rape. But what about........................

I'm wondering why akin didn't stick to the script they tell him to use during the mandatory GOP candidate orientation.

The U.S. House of Representatives, apparently.
Say, isn't that where Romney found Ryan? What a coincidence both Adkin and Ryan just happen to be from the worst congress with the lowest ratings in 70 years. Boy, that Romney sure knows who pick em, eh?

What does that matter? You can't equate them just because they're Representatives. You can equate them because their policies are similar, but your post here doesn't really mean anything.

If it doesn't mean anything then why did you respond?

And here is the weird thing about that - Everybody hates the House of Representatives, but they happen to like their own representative. Think of it this way - Everybody in the audience, at the exact same time, cuts a fart in the middle of a recital of the Boston Pops, and then each person in the audience points to everybody else, but not themselves.

I wish Palin's candidate she backed in Missouri won the Republican nomination instead of Akin. Steelman should run as an independent there now. Homepage | Sarah Steelman

It's a debate site. I was debating that your post doesn't mean anything.
lol...ok.....um, are you debating now?

You can't equate them just because they're Representatives.
Yes I can....Representives are idiots. It must be a prerequisite or something.

Oh, yeah, yeah, Dana. Great analogy.
