Yeah diplomacy's cheaper and cleaner, but if it doesn't work, then what?

Lets just bomb the **** out of people, take all their natural resources and leave. I mean i really dont give a **** about peoples lives or our own soldier lives because oil is more important than human lives.
    I know. Sad.

I mean that to me doesnt seem very "libertarian" of you. Breaking a countries national sovereignty because of a resource beneath the ground.
I'm not pro-war, but I do tell it like it is. This **** isn't about terrorism. If we stay peaceful and want to employ our own citizens and all that other fantastic sounding ****, hey great. But it comes with economic consequences that we have to be realistic about. We can't grab foreign oil, then everything gets more expensive for us and we all get a little bit poorer (living standards-wise). Same happens if we force domestic employment and wage inflation. **** gets more expensive and we all feel a bit poorer. Double-edged swords, people. Acknowledge 'em. Embrace 'em.

Ummm... I suspect that the bill for 9/11 is FAR more than just $6 billion. Just saying.

    Chump change.

Uncle Sam spends in one day what all 2012 campaigns will cost
As the presidential primaries move forward, it seems like people can't stop talking about the amount of money being spent this campaign season. News reports cover the fundraising horse race in minute detail, while pundits complain about the staggering sums being raised and spent.

All told, it's estimated that $5 billion will be spent this year on political campaigns at the federal, state and local level, up to $1 billion of which may be raised by President Obama's re-election campaign alone.

But if that sounds like a lot of money, consider this: Last year, the federal government spent that much money every day between breakfast and dinner. And next year looks to be no different.

On Feb. 13, Obama unveiled his proposed 2013 budget, which calls for an eye-popping $3.8 trillion in spending.

and this is exactly the reason that we need a domestic non-oil transportation solution. we need to address this issue both publicly and privately as a top-tier priority.

We needed to address it forty years ago. It's the eleventh hour now. Even right now, ponder a way to build and continuously rebuild the nation's roads and bridges with any alternative to oil. CNG is the only hail mary I can think of. Any form of electric is a joke.

You need to move way too much weight around to maintain national road networks using alternative energies.

First off, I'm not doubting you. I'm genuinely interested. Do you have links to a story about President Khamati condemning 9/11 and offering support?

As long as there are oil companies who donate millions to campaigns and have the finest lobbyists and bag-men, you won't see this addressed.
