but the poorest people in detroit are still much worse off than a good majority of Americans, poverty exsists in every country and the US,UK, China etc are no different. End of the day Cuba is no threat to America and many Americans like to point out poverty in Cuba but yet these same people have no problem with the trade embargo which strangles the Cuban economy and created much of the poverty you see in Cuba.

your comparing a country where detroits poorest are bad to a country whos richests are poorer that detroits poorest, excluding castro and his buddies who castro ranked as a billionaire and has siphoned enough money to feed cuba 50 times over.

I have to say I find it amusing how critical Americans are of the Cuban regime in regards to the poverty levels, exploitation of the working class and of course the fact they are communist with no voting power to the general public. So critical that you refuse to trade with them or allow citizens to visit from American soil but yet its fine to borrow money from China, trade with china and become political allies with China. China a communist country who has an awful human rights record, huge poverty levels, terrible conditions for workers and brutual social progams like one child, but they have money so I guess its ok right? Please....
