Althouse: "Three teenagers accused of killing a 62-year-old father-of-12 in West Rogers Park were playing a game called 'Pick 'em out and knock 'em down' when they videotaped themselves punching him in the face..."

They were caught after they posted the video on Facebook.

Similar attacks — some resulting in death — have previously been reported in Missouri, New Jersey and Decatur. The game also goes by the name “Knockout King,” and experts say it is a grab for attention....

From the comments:

Figuring out relative victim status in this case is hard.

The perps are people of color who didn't understand the potential lethality of their little game.

The victim was Hispanic, but kind of whitish--tho not George Zimmerman white. He eked out an existence as a "scavenger" (i.e., self-employed recycler), so he's clearly a victim of the 1%. OTOH, he was a father of 12, so a probable Catholic who denied his wife access to birth control.

I'll just wait for Obama to tell me who the true victims are in this one. Social-justice calculations are too tough for me.

The comment you quoted is so ragingly ignorant I can hardly believe it.

People are really screwed up with those anti-Catholic comments.

Of course, society doesn't recognize that as prejudiced because we live in a Protestant country that's addicted to hedonism.

I took the comment to be sarcasm, but maybe the author is just waiting to see what sort of "prosecutorial discretion" (or indiscretion)will be exercised this time.

I hope you're not Catholic. If you are, people would look at you as a social retard.

Picking up sarcasm depends on living a compatible lifestyle.
