Showdown over Bush tax cuts Wednesday

Is this your substitute for a rebuttal to the study by the CBO that found the rich benefited more from the Bush tax cuts, or is this your way of saying they were right?

you just don't get it

when the rich pay most of the taxes they by definition are going to benefit more than the 49 percent who don't pay any of the taxes that are being CUT

Its as idiotic as whining that when Lexus extends its warranty coverage those who own Infinitis did not benefit

you were the one who started with the tripe that it was bad that most of the tax cuts went to most of the tax base

not me

You pretending to be ignorant of how progressive taxation works now?

You are the one that doesn't get it. A person has to make a living wage to pay federal income taxes, are you endorsing a living wage for the working poor?

You pretending to be ignorant of how progressive taxation works now?

you are just posting moronic rants now

you whined that the Bush tax cuts helped the rich the most

I pointed out the rich pay most of the taxes that were being cut

you then diverted and whined that the FIT was not the only tax people pay

I noted that the taxes BUSH CUT were mainly paid by the rich

and you started whining

Now we have the BS about living wages and other crap

if you income redistributionists want everyone to benefit the same from tax cuts then everyone should be paying the same amount of taxes

Thanks for your unsubstantiated far right opinion anonymous internet dude! I will have to go with the the study, by the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office I referenced above.

you mean cbo,the organization that has been right 0% of time???????????????????

its like cbo has a mental deficiency that does not allow variables in math or any form of logic to be applied to it.this is the same cbo that said stimulous spending was bad for the economy, the same cbo that had to redo the math for the costs of obamacare many times, despite in that time no major changes in its policy.

this is the same cbo that has used the same estimate for the bush tax cuts, variable free, and still uses 2001 gfp for its estimates, and ignores any economic growth over time in its estimates.cbo's estimates are so bad most of the time its like they go to a psychic to ask answers, write them down, then go have wild parties.

but please post some real evidence, not some we got it from cbo and cbo cant back their math but trust, weve been wrong on everything else but this time we are right,we are so confident of it we wont show you the math, just our answer.

you whined that the Bush tax cuts helped the rich the most

Translation: I refuted the claims by those who claimed the rich didn't benefit more from the Bush tax cuts.

you then diverted and whined that the FIT was not the only tax people pay

Translation: I refuted the claim that the rich pay most of the federal taxes.

Now we have the BS about living wages and other crap

Translation: I showed why the half the country living at or near poverty don't pay federal income taxes, even though they pay a higher percentage of their wages in payroll taxes than the rich.

No, I mean the CBO the non-partisan organization that is the most trusted source (by both parties) of analysis on taxation in the country.

Who can you reference that is more credible than the CBO?

Great points, well done.

TD is like a broken record -- "suckling, teats, freeloaders"... Not a fact or economic concept to be found, just lots of impotent rage.

You noticed that too eh?

and they have also been right almost never, and have been proven wrong by nearly every independant organization of both sides.

nice try can you get someone who doesnt use hocus pocus you gotta believe me but i cant prove it math???????///

thats why i used the treasury math, which until now has been more reliable than cbo,who said stimulous would kill the econom, and that not giving stimulous would kill the economy, and the bush tax cuts affected middle class/no poor/no rich and the oh so famous obamacare will cost america 4 million jobs(cbo estimate).

I see the whole herd is here

it was catawba who whined that when there are tax cuts-those who paid the taxes got the cuts

duh

Lets see your link where the Treasury says the rich didn't benefit more as the CBO study determined. Hell, even the ultra-conservative turtledude has admitted this.

uh I said those who pay the taxes benefit from tax cuts

i shown you a link with payouts going mostly to those under the top 5%.

the only way the cbo could argue that rich gained more would be to say the rich got a higher dollar amount back, but of course someone making 15 million will get back more from a 4.5% drop than someone in a lower bracket with a 10% drop.that doesnt show tax burden, thats playing the numbers in a hope someone would be stupid enough to fall for it.

how did the rich benefit more???85% cost goes to middle and lower class,by dollar amounts 85% of the benefits go to middle and lower class,if the middle class was broken into smaller brackets vs clintons few brackets, but super rich still fell into the highest bracket, how does that give the rich more benefit.

again your studies are going by dollar benefit per person, not a percentage or cost basis, and ofcourse someone who makes way more money will pay way more, and even the smallest decrease in taxes will resort to more back dollar wise in taxes than any other class, but not percentage wise.

the Democrats will demand that the extension remove the tax-cuts for the wealthy. The GOP will say no.

The extension will expire on Dec 31st, and on January 1st the Democrats will submit a bill to again cut taxes for the middle-class...up to folks to make $250,000 a year.

ALL Democrats will vote for it, and possibly enough Republicans will vote for it, as they won't be voting for a tax-increase on anyone, thereby not violating the Norquist Pledge.

Obama and Harry Reid are chess masters.

John Boehner is orange.

You have not provided a link from any organization more credible than the CBO that states the rich did not benefit most from the Bush tax cuts.

Do you have one or not?

Beerftw says you are wrong. You two duke it out and get back to us.

I don't care -most of what you post on this subject is riddled with nonsense and error

i shown you the treasury department estimate, which has been refuted less.

you shown me cbo which uses hocus pocus math.the only legitamacy you have provided for cbo is congress swearsa by it,also currently less popular than hitler.obviously it makes sense that the most hated organization gets its information from the most innacurate one.

plus as a said obamacare was said by cbo to end 4 million jobs, believe that or are you gonna say cbo is accurate????????????????????????

You have already agreed the CBO study I referenced was accurate. Having second thoughts now?

I agreed that tax cuts of the FIT benefited tax payers the most

I agreed that tax cuts of the FIT benefited tax payers the most

catawba basically admitted only rich pay the bulk of taxes and tax load, therefore benefit from tax cuts.

You have provided no statement from the Treasury that refutes the study by the CBO.

In between your searches to try to find an organization as authoritative as the CBO to back up your claim, see the ultra conservative, turtledude's posts above where he agrees the rich benefited most from the Bush tax cuts.

So you are finally coming around now to agreeing with the CBO study?
