Alabama Pastor holds 'whites only' conference

Equating black racism with the white racism that infected this country for 3 centuries and continues to this day, and which led to the oppression and subjugation of an entire race is stupid beyond belief.
Why do you think so? Did the black slaves free themselves?
Why do you believe white racism continues to this day? What is your evidence for it?

It is generally done by whites who are unwilling to recognize what systematic racism has done to black people.
What role do blacks play in this racism? Do blacks participate? If so why?

Instead, they bleat on about the Congressional Black Caucus and the Black Panthers as though that's the moral equivalent of two centuries of slavery and another of Jim Crow.
Do you believe the CBC and the NBPP are good things? If so why not have a white congressional caucus and new white panther party? If one is good why not the other?

Or is your goal simply getting even?

Is it asshole territory to ignore that whites have been privileged and blacks oppressed?
Everyone has been oppressed at some time or other. It just might be time to get that huge chip off your shoulder and move on with your life.

however, when groups that are NOT racist such as the CBC are dishonestly called racist, we have the right & obligation to call this out.

So the CBC is liberal not racist? Is that your argument?
Shall we have a congressional white caucus to provide support to white causes?

what do you mean by "generational traction"?

I mean it can be observed from one generation to the next.

And while I agree these groups are usually sidelined within mainstream american culture, the same situation hardly exists within the african american community itself. Where these groups are readily visible and generally accepted

Absolute nonsense.

you are seriously suggesting that white racism no longer exists in the USA?
What little there is has no relevance to anyone who does not wallow in it.

So yes. White racism is gone. Long live black racism. It is the cooler type.

the CBC does not advocate racial discrimination, nor believe that blacks are racially superior to whites.
Why do they exist then? If they are not advocating for caused based on race what are they doing?

Oh really? Then what public policy do YOU feel needs a group based MAINLY on their race to support it? Name ONE stated goal of the CBC that does NOT involve race or programs targeted to "urban" areas that are "economically depressed" (PC code used to describe "the hood"). Even Herman Cain fell into this trap when asked to describe his bizarre "enterprize zones". Once you target one group of citizens (even while PRETENDING that race is not a factor), even for "good" things, then you are just as guilty of racism as those that targetted that group (PRETENDING that race was not the ONLY factor) for "bad" things. Reparations or affirmative action are NOT equal treatment under the law, no matter how you try to "justify" them. In a nation led by a mixed race president, elected by a white majority, it is perhaps time to bury the hatchet of "racial politics" and move on.

please provide evidence that the CBC supports discriminatory practises against white people and believes in the superiority of the black race.

what would that be based on?

Absolute nonsense.

not at all, groups like the NOI are very visible in a number of AA communities and are seen as community leaders in many instances

please provide evidence that the CBC supports discriminatory practises against white people and believes in the superiority of the black race.

they explicitly exclude white people.... and they feel that whites are not equipped or able to handle policy issues that affect blacks, blacks are superior in this regards.

that good enough for you?....it should be, it's accurate.

OK, Thunder. The CBC is FAR too clever to use ONLY ONE RACE explicitly, they instead use "code" as in this example from the CBC webpage:

"Whereas the CBC recently launched the ‘‘For the People’’
Jobs Initiative to directly address the lack of jobs for
people of color by holding job fairs and town hall meetings
throughout the country in areas hardest hit by the
recession; and
Whereas, to address the unemployment crisis and the need
for job creation solutions in underserved communities,
the CBC has called upon the private and public sectors
to immediately remedy the crisis by going into communities
with legitimate, immediate employment opportunities
for the underserved"

Now how is that NOT targetting people BY RACE for "special" gov't action?

the CBC.... you know, the people you were talking about in the post of yours I quoted.

who did you think i meant?

please show how the CBC exclused white people.

please show how the CBC believes that black people are superior.

You keep beating the SAME dead horse. If you feel that ANY single RACIAL group needs "special" treatment based ON RACE that is racism, pure and simple. It does NOT have to be "AGAINST" whites, if it is only "FOR" blacks that is the SAME THING, taking tax money from ALL and giving it DISPROPORTIONALLY intentionally based on RACE to SOME. Get real!

Racism is actually a feeling that a particular race is better or worse overall than another race. If special treatment is motivated by this, than yes it is racist, if it is motivated by other reasons than it is not.

That is BS. If the OTHER reasons are targetted to ONLY majority black zip codes, then they are other EXCUSES not reasons. Look at this tidbit from the OFFICIAL CBC website and explain what OTHER reasons (not EXCUSES) are cited:

I wouldn't call that racist as it is not motivated by racism.

There is a difference in focus on issues that disproportionately affect people of certain races and the believe that a particular race is better or worse in their level of ability, intelligence, humanity, etc.

NONSENSE. Then why not "target" ALL hit by the recession instead of zooming in on "people of color"? You would go ballistic if a congressional group targeted "white people" for special HELP, yet feel all warm and fuzzy when it is reversed. Get real!
