Well the "War on Terror" in Iraq worked real well. Just opened the door to more and more terrorists. Good job Merica! Hopefully however this will die down and hopefully Iraq will become somewhat stable of a state. Still dont believe this was worth it as a war.

Depends on who you ask. The OIL is in the Centralized Distribution Network. Huge profits were made by the Energy Corporations, Contractors, Haliburton, KBR, and many more loyal Republicans, neocons, and warmongers. A nice tidy little war that made lots of rich people richer. What more can you ask for when these big businesses gin up wars to secure taxpayer dollars. What could you mean it's not successful? As regards the million dead people, the planet has too many people anyhow. And just look at the need for weapons, explosives, planes, tanks, etc. in Iraq and who's cashing in on these needs. Why the same yours truly that profits so handsomely when it's an ordinary hot war. Just Corporate "bidness as usual."

This thing was FUBARed from the beginning. Removing Saddam only made Iraq a hot bed for terrorist activity and destabilized the region. Not that Saddam was a good guy, but hell maybe if we didn't help put the Ba'athists in in the first place, we wouldn't be dealing with this fall out. Regardless, Iraq was never our concern and this just further illustrates the doomed tactics of interventionism on the "War on Terror".

Yeah....perchance imperialism isn't the best route though.

The withdraw agreement was signed by Bush, a conservative and it was done over issues of a SOFA, Status of Forces Agreement, Iraqis wanted to have power to charge Americans in their court system among other things and we found that unacceptable so we left. Since we wanted to respect Iraq's sovereignty, after all making Iraq a sovereign state was an objective of the post war reconstruction, we respected their position on the negotiating table and left instead of forcing ourselves to stay there.

There are no US forces in Iraq whatsoever save a dozen or so who work at the embassy.
