How dare you, Joe!! Go die in a fire!!

And Col. Duckworth - I don't agree with you on many, many things, but on this July 4th, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your service and sacrifice.

    Article is here.

Joe Walsh is human waste. I'm donating to her campaign right now.

I respect veterans and their service, but when people tout that as a major campaigning point it gets annoying and not productive in my opinion. I'm not saying she shouldn't talk about it or apply it to her record, but if that's her focal point or if that's all she is doing then she deserves to be reprimanded for it politically. Like I said though, I haven't followed the campaign and I won't say for sure if this guys comments are warranted if her campaign really does adequately address issues.

I would also say that she is an incredible hero worthy of commendation. However, that shouldn't make her immune if others call her out on constantly focusing on her military service and not the issues (which may or may not be true).
The oversight being that even if she is touting her credentials inappropriately, only a person of similarly impressive achievements would have the moral standing to make the observation. And only in the most tactful way possible.

The problem is that respecting a person for their contributions requires overlooking their grimy bits. Otherwise you aren't really respecting anything. You're just behaving the way you want.

Re: Rep. Joe Walsh Says Iraq War Vet Opponent Talks Too Much to Be ‘True’ Hero

There is a difference between a VFW barstool hero and a true hero who risked their life and damn near lost it in service to the nation.

Someone who announces everyday they were in uniform but miles away from any badguys vs someone who stared face to face with the bad guys and managed to survive.

Those who feel uncomfortable about their life choices vs someone who did step up when others looked the other way.

Some folks who never stepped up can have trouble telling the over the top barstool fool and those who really did risk it all.

Lets hope enough folks in her district can tell the difference between a true hero and a whiny beyotch.

She manned up, she can remind the world of that every day of her life until her legs grow back as far as I am concerned.

Oh and a Happy 4th to all those serving around the globe

The bolded is exactly what I feel is going on with Walsh. He's embarrassed and is trying to bully her into silence. I have nothing but disdain for Walsh.

And I heartily agree, she can shout it from the rooftops for as long as she draws breath.

This is the important stuff. We can’t get lost in discrimination. We can’t get lost in B.S. We can’t get lost tearing each other down. I want to make a point here that no matter what you look like, where you come from, how you worship, who you love, how you identify, and yeah, how you run, that if you have good public policy ideas, if you are well qualified for office, bring those ideas to the table, because this is your America, too. This is our commonwealth of Virginia, too.

Digs, I saw two separate interviews with her today. In her own words, she mentions her service in relation to knowing how voters feel about requiring a lot of medical care and that she didn't let the loss of her legs stop her. She didn't give up and just stay home.

I find her story very inspirational and she has a right to use her experience and her sacrifice in relating to voters and as a demonstration of her commitment to whatever she sets her mind to.

Since her patriotism has been proven, she can say any damn thing she wants, and that worthless Joe Walsh better get about proving his own patriotism with something besides political bullcrap. I'm just happy she's not a "blind patriot," as it would mean she was just a believer, not a thinker.

Re: Rep. Joe Walsh Says Iraq War Vet Opponent Talks Too Much to Be ‘True’ Hero

According to MSNBC, libtardian font of wisdom that it is, she is not a hero. They don't feel "comfortable" calling her one, anyway.
According to ObamaNation, she is a "potential terrorist".
According to John Kerry, the Democrat Presidential nominee prior to Obama, she is an idiot.

I'm sure all the leftists were equally outraged then, right? Right?

Yes, Colonel Duckworth is a hero. Yes, Representative Walsh is an idiot for suggesting otherwise. Yes, MSNBC is an intellectual vacuum. Yes, Obama and his minions are anti-American anti-veteran hypocritical suckholes who should have to serve a three year hitch in the Army (all of it on KP/latrine duty). Yes, Kerry should be slapped upside his perfectly coiffed, perfectly empty head. And yes, outrage such as this shouldn't be defined by partisanship.

Thanks veterans. Happy Independance Day, Americans.
