The ghost of Jack Kevorkian for President's Physician: 2016
The problem is that respecting a person for their contributions requires overlooking their grimy bits. Otherwise you aren't really respecting anything. You're just behaving the way you want.

If you notice something good in yourself, give credit to God, not to yourself, but be certain the evil you commit is always your own and yours to acknowledge.
There is a difference between a VFW barstool hero and a true hero who risked their life and damn near lost it in service to the nation.
Someone who announces everyday they were in uniform but miles away from any badguys vs someone who stared face to face with the bad guys and managed to survive.
Those who feel uncomfortable about their life choices vs someone who did step up when others looked the other way.
Some folks who never stepped up can have trouble telling the over the top barstool fool and those who really did risk it all.
Lets hope enough folks in her district can tell the difference between a true hero and a whiny beyotch.
She manned up, she can remind the world of that every day of her life until her legs grow back as far as I am concerned.
Oh and a Happy 4th to all those serving around the globe

I find her story very inspirational and she has a right to use her experience and her sacrifice in relating to voters and as a demonstration of her commitment to whatever she sets her mind to.
According to MSNBC, libtardian font of wisdom that it is, she is not a hero. They don't feel "comfortable" calling her one, anyway.
According to ObamaNation, she is a "potential terrorist".
According to John Kerry, the Democrat Presidential nominee prior to Obama, she is an idiot.
I'm sure all the leftists were equally outraged then, right? Right?
Yes, Colonel Duckworth is a hero. Yes, Representative Walsh is an idiot for suggesting otherwise. Yes, MSNBC is an intellectual vacuum. Yes, Obama and his minions are anti-American anti-veteran hypocritical suckholes who should have to serve a three year hitch in the Army (all of it on KP/latrine duty). Yes, Kerry should be slapped upside his perfectly coiffed, perfectly empty head. And yes, outrage such as this shouldn't be defined by partisanship.
Thanks veterans. Happy Independance Day, Americans.
