GOOD. The Decline of America will hopefully lead to the rise of a proper country in its place.

Actually my legal advisor is working on it at this point, trying to iron out some of the issues. Hopefully by the first of August something will be in place to get me the hell out of here.
If you leave the country you will lose the opportunity to wage a figurative form of open source warfare against the established order in this country. Staying allows you to force your opponents to wage a long twilight struggle in which their hopes for the peace and quiet disappear. In responding to constant agitation their vision of America can be forced to transmorgify into something they will come to loathe...a police state. That will ruin them and their future.

True, however leaving the country allows me to pursue opportunities to engage in other forms of "discourse" against the established order here in the United States. The type of resistance you're talking about doesn't work. It creates speedbumps, but nothing more.

The type of resistance is very effective. Cheer up. The forces and processes of history are with us. They gravely weaken the Blue Model of Society and Govt.

China is disempowering Blue America. And everything Blue America does plays in to Chinese hands. American living standards are not coming back for most Americans. The American public schools will become even less competitive with those of foreign peers. The left is going to be fighting for its life against the changes now occurring at ground level worldwide. The left will never know peace.

Frequently, they behave like idiots. For some, because that's all they are. But it isn't this lot that is reconstructed in their failure. It's those around and after them who end up taking heed. Look around you today. Mixed-race couples are commonplace and accepted as fact today. Women are ubiquitous in senior and higher management positions. Gays are on the verge of attaining equal rights. Even atheists are becoming influental. What sort of legacy of the conservative values of 50 years ago do these things represent? None of those bigots was ever brought out of the darkness, but their miserable examples sent countless millions down a different path. The right-wing is continuing to isolate itself today, taking a record of social, economic, environmental, military, and foreign policy disaster with them. Romney will either defend or repudiate that record, and neither one will help the right-wing. It is a losing cause slowly fading into the pages of history.

unfortunately, it appears that the Iranians embrace "socialism."

The constitution entitles Iranians to basic health care, and most receive subsidized prescription drugs and vaccination programs. An extensive network of public clinics offers basic care at low cost, and general and specialty hospitals operated by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education (MOHME) provide higher levels of care. In most large cities, well-to-do persons use private clinics and hospitals that charge high fees.[3] About 73% of all Iranian workers have health care and social security coverage.[3] In 2000, 94% of the population could access local health services, according to the WHO. Access ranged from 86% in rural areas to 100% in urban areas.[3] Between 80% and 94% of the population could access affordable essential medicines in 1999.[3] Since 2009, a new government plan called "the comprehensive insurance plan" provides basic coverage to all Iranians.[7]

Obviously they take to the internet and believe that will somehow someway translate into magically transforming a very small number of nuts into a very large number of powerful whacko's.

It has always amazed me how people who cannot get elected to a county commissioner slot because they completely and utterly lack any political skills whatsoever believe they can have a revolution by typing out messages on sites like this.

There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers

Not really. Hell, our own Revolutionary War and Civil War show us that there are times when nothing less than bloody conflict will resolve the disputes of philosophy. I believe it was Napoleon who referred to cannons as "The Ultimate Arguement of Kings."

and then there are times when it is better just to sit in one's living room (or Mom's basement, as the case may be) and type revolutionary sounding messages to post on the internet for the entertainment of others around the world doing the same.
"Donald Trump is a phony, a fraud... [he's] playing the American public for suckers." Mitt Romney
