GOP senators press Holder for special prosecutor into potential national security lea

Re: National Security Advisor Tom Donilon is Leaker of Classified National Security I

Seriously?!?!?

Does someone really have to "leak" the well-known fact that Obama is one terrorist killing son of a gun in order to enhance Obama's political position?

He kicks butt on terrorism. He walked the walk rather than just talking the talk like the last administration did.

I know that matter of fact just BURNS the rightwinger's ass too. I love it.

I just LOVE the smell of rightwing desperation in the morning. Smells like victory. LOL!

It's the standard tactic of the Far Right. It's all they have.
Good thing democrats didnt do that with regard to Plame...huh? Geez...that would make anyone that did and said **** about 'the far right' a total POS hypocrite.

Re: National Security Advisor Tom Donilon is Leaker of Classified National Security I

So McCain and Lieberman just guessed ?

Nope. Of course, Obama will claim "Executive Privilege", as that is the new Legislative Branch ;)

Yeah, and as we all know, no Republican President has ever done that. Yeah, I think McCain and his little puppet Leiberman are just out there throwing **** and seeing what sticks to the wall.

I'm sure this post makes sense to you, but you lost me right around Valerie Plame. Was that the intent?

Re: National Security Advisor Tom Donilon is Leaker of Classified National Security I

Does anyone think American national security is more important than domestic political advantage?

We know that Joe Blow off the street is not in possession of top secrets. Who is in possession of top secrets such as the use of Stuxnet or Flame? My dog? Darrell Issa? Not bloody damn likely.

Anything goes now doesn't it? You folks think there are no rules that apply to you. Well, that works for me. But then, I've moved past the idea of being an American. You sons of bitches. Sow the wind and reap the whirlwind.

LOL ... Obama the bowing surrender monkey continues Bush's drone progrm, and now he's a ball buster ... ROFLMAO.

What Obama kicks butt on is reminding us all that being a Democrat is more important than being an American.

And free-stuff.

Re: National Security Advisor Tom Donilon is Leaker of Classified National Security I

Sorry, but that may be the lamest response I've ever read. He's doing to terrorists what George Bush only talked about doing. And you people on the Far Right know it, but to admit it you'd have to admit you were wrong about him. And we all know that will never happen, so instead you just deny the obvious.

As I said, lame.

This is President Obama's "transparency" in govt at work.

You said "lame", and lest there be doubt, you then demonstrated such !!

Obama continued in Bush's footsteps. That's it. He kept Gitmo open. He drops drone missiles on Pakistan, as Bush did. BFD.

But what has Obama done different ? Where has he done anything with regard to terrorism except continue what he inherited ?

He doesn't have "balls". If he did, he would have closed Gitmo. But he was too much the ***** to do what he said he would do.

Michelle is always on top there.

Making it up and changing it around as you go along isnt impressive....Obama has caught and killed more terrorists in 2 yrs including the one that Bush SWORE he would get and didnt...Bin Laden...you can spout all the rhetoric you want, but you cant change the facts.

And Bush got more than Clinton. Fortunately, our technology marches forward. Dropping drone missiles in Pakistan, or Yemen, doesn't take balls.

Bin Laden was found via a lead that started with water-boarding. The program that Bush had the balls to keep going when libtards cried "its not fair".

Now tell us about Obama having the balls to do what he said: CLOSE GITMO ............. ;)

Facts are stubborn things.

Yes he is a stone cold killer of terrorists after campaigning on giving battle field combatants rights to lawyer up. Liberals ate it up, bashed Bush for being a baby killer, and praised Obama for insisting terrorists, a word he wouldn't even use, get a fair trial.

So now his fair trial is to either keep terrorists locked up in Guantanamo without a trial or to just kill them with a drone strike. So much for his failure to keep another campaign promise you fell for.

Its also interesting how liberals, now that Obama is President, would rather kill terrorists than water board them for information. Which is more of a human rights violation?

Re: National Security Advisor Tom Donilon is Leaker of Classified National Security I

Get it right dude. I think we should waterboard terrorists first and THEN kill them.

I'm just sayin' that Obama guy is a kick terrorist ass president with more Hadji knotches on his gunbelt than Matt Dillon.

The rest is debatable. Should one be so inclined.

And Matt Dillon gave an order and someone pushed a button ?

To Obama's credit, he maintained the drone attacks. If you want to say he launched more ..... the point is that our technology continues to advance. Under Bush. Under Obama. Heck, while Clinton didn't have much to work with, he most certainly advanced drone development as well.

But there's nothing new from Obama. Which is not a knock. You or me or any other swinging dick here could have OK'd the hit on Bin Laden. Which was like 3 years of intelligence development. To my credit, I was Special OPS for the last 3 years of my service (7 total). How 'bout you ? You gonna tell me about what it takes ?

SEAL Team 6, and all the rest, are the ones with the balls. Not some hack in the WH.

You know the rules bro. If the prez screw it up, he gets the blame. If he get's it right, he gets the credit.

Thank you for your service.

I was Navy. Firecontrol. I earned my opinion too.

OK. And I thank you. I was Army. 82nd and 5th SF.

Bush did not back down from going after the bad guys. To his credit, Obama has continued with drones in a way that almost seems completely in contradiction to his other efforts with terrorists, most notably wanting to initially close Gitmo and try such as KSM in NYC. I will give him credit for all that. But he is no more the terrorist fighter than Bush. While Clinton was a bit timid, he stil gets a bit of a bum rap, as things were very different politically then.

As an example ... we now drop drone missiles on sovereign Pakistan almost daily. Hardly makes page 20. Couldn't have done that 15 years ago ... not even one bomb.

I do not think Obama has conducted the War on Terror, and this leak, with the honor expected of the Office. Too much politics. As with this issue. Not enough dignity, or protecting of resources.

Re: National Security Advisor Tom Donilon is Leaker of Classified National Security I

Why is Tom Donlon in the White House free as a bird while Bradley Manning is in the stockade? Something seems wrong.

Well, I agree Obama is no more a conductor of war than Bush was. At least, we can hope. Or, Carter for that matter. But it's not like Obama went around gloating and landing on aircraft carriers in flight suits either.

But we would not be honest with each other if we weren't to agree that, had the mission on Bin Laden failed, the very guys reluctant to give Obama the credit, would be the first to put the blame on him?

Look, I know that even though Obama was playing an active role at the helm, (for better or for worse,) and he was not a hands on combat soldier. And you and I both know that those guys in the boots are the true heroes and deserve the lionshare of the glory. (And bless their humbleness and integrity not to gloat.) America's finest. I do not know a single politician worthy enough to kiss their ass.

We can argue that Obama is, or is not, a lot of things. But a *****, he is not. Ohh-rah?

He's not a pilot. But he has surely spiked the ball a dozen times already.

Not me. I think you make an unfounded assumption. That mission directly risked less than 24 guys. We lost that many in a Chinook shootdown a couple months later, did we not ? Obama survived.

Agreed. Except prolly McCain. And some lesser known pols who served well. They are there.

He is not a man of honor. Few politicians are. But he ranks low on honor. Can't seperate such from balls, as true bravery goes hand-in-hand with honor. Otherwise you're just a careless maniac who lived to tell of it. Gonna side-track, but we have a lot of Medal of Honor winners who had no honor. They just flipped out and lived to tell of it. Then there are others who waded into harms way with eyes wide open, and then earned every bit of that medal.

There is no bravery in the drone strikes. Giving the "Go" on Bin Laden was very easy. You'd have done it. I'd have done it. Hillary would have done it. C'mon.

Would he have done this without the authorization of Obama? This will be interesting as it unfolds, which won't happen until after the election. This could make Watergate look like child's play.

They didn't toss Bradley Manning in the clink without hardcore evidence against him . . . this whole Donlon thing is just a suggested possibility - nothing more at the moment.

Donlon was Obama's agent in disclosing top secrets. It was done to make Obama look good regardless of the impact on national security.

The idea of American national security is apparently of very little importance any more. Well, I know people who possess information the People's Republic of China would dearly love to have. Why the hell should I care any more when the administration itself doesn't give a ****.

The idea of America is dying. People will disagree with me on this point, but few of them know history. History is replete with instances of placing partisan advantage over country. The result is always the same. The country is harmed. Apparently no one gives a shxt about US national security any longer.

I have detached my emotions from America so that I do not live in constant sorrow. I stand without emotion as a mere witness on the country's event horizon.

The specifics of Stuxnet and Flame were released. Who had possession of such information? Joe Blow off the street? Who benefits from the release of all of these national security details outlined in the Sanger book? Only one man benefits. The President of the United States. I give up on America. It's simply passed the point of no return.

You still have to prove someone has done something in some measure before you can toss them in jail - simply being in proximity to info doesn't mean much. . . neither does 'should have been the only one with access to it'

A lot of bad things happen when people gain access to materials they shouldn't otherwise have - legally and illegally.

In a proper investigation they'll figure it out all - I have no doubt.
