I have no problem with an investigation. As far as what Obama is concerned with, I'm not going to make ignorant assertions as if I know the truth before any of the facts become known. Why you have such a problem with that, I don't know.

The only link in the OP has this title - "GOP senators press Holder for special prosecutor into potential national security leaks“.

You have a legitimate point there IMO.

Okay. Now I expect that same metric be applied equally across bias and party line.

Look, I'm of the opinion that McCain at least is dead in the head and on the shelf well past his expiration date. But I'd like to know precisely what he means by "commenter of record". If that means McCain got the Times to give up his name as one of their sources - then he's right to call the guy out. Otherwise, it is as you said, they shouldn't be pointing the guilt his way.

Actually no, we didn't learn that, though that is true. The POTUS is the ultimate classifying authority. If he wants to declassify on the fly, that's well within his purview and power to do so. However, the problem comes when someone other than the POTUS leaks because of the president's undocumented/hidden direction. No president is ever going to say, yeah, I told him to do that.

The leaker always ends up being the goat - that's what we learned during the Bush years (for those of you who are young, we older folks knew that already). Just ask Scooter.

Yea, but the title above that link in the OP is
"Breaking: GOP senators issue letter alleging Tom Donilon is the leaker of highly sensitive classified secrets"

Agreed. I don't read the letter as saying that he has a source telling him this guy is the leak. I read it as "this guy has access to the info, maybe it's him?" And to recap, I'm fine with that. I think the announcement of the letter (the huge announcement and conference) should have been handled better (it makes it look as though they are just looking for political points and not actually interested in finding who it is for actual security reasons). My problem arises when people take that and it leads them to an uninformed decision.

    Seriously?!?!?

Does someone really have to "leak" the well-known fact that Obama is one terrorist killing son of a gun in order to enhance Obama's political position?

He kicks butt on terrorism. He walked the walk rather than just talking the talk like the last administration did.

I know that matter of fact just BURNS the rightwinger's ass too. I love it.

I just LOVE the smell of rightwing desperation in the morning. Smells like victory. LOL!

I'm sure this post makes sense to you, but you lost me right around Valerie Plame. Was that the intent?

Does anyone think American national security is more important than domestic political advantage?

We know that Joe Blow off the street is not in possession of top secrets. Who is in possession of top secrets such as the use of Stuxnet or Flame? My dog? Darrell Issa? Not bloody damn likely.

Anything goes now doesn't it? You folks think there are no rules that apply to you. Well, that works for me. But then, I've moved past the idea of being an American. You sons of bitches. Sow the wind and reap the whirlwind.
