I think he wants to lose the election...this isnt going to help him in my mind.

The Obama administration announced Friday it will stop deporting illegal immigrants who come to the country at a young age.

The politically charged decision comes as Obama faces a tough reelection fight against Republican Mitt Romney, with Hispanic voters in swing states seen as a key bloc.

The change in policy could allow as many as 800,000 immigrants who came to the United States illegally not only to remain in the country without fear of being deported, but to work legally, according to a senior administration official speaking to reporters Friday.

That's also 800,000 more (illegal) votes for Obama, if he can prevent states like Florida and Arizona from cleaning their voter lists.

Congress? Congress? We don't need no stinkin' Congress. We make up the rules as we go.

I'd like to see the evidence that there's widespread illegals voting, and that they're voting for Democrats. I'd actually like to know what is backing up these allegations that get made.

Congress? What is that? It's been so long I forgot.

The same thing that backs up most of the Republican agenda.....irrational fear.

He walked away instead of answering questions. What a coward.

These are YOUNG illegals...and It wont benefit him in votes this election...I do however believe it was a mistake and it will not help him in the end.

Catering to special interest groups does not help him with the Meat and potato voters...Personally, Im voting for Obama, but I now have to believe he will not win re election.

Isn't that exactly what Florida is trying to find out? How many "illegals voting" are doing so illegally?

Key word, "widespread" interesting wording. I guess if robbery is not widespread, no need to do anything about it. Voting is the spine of this country and there should be no illegal or any other fraudulent vote. None, zip zero, nada.

Your right but where your wrong...is that once they are legal they can vote

Where in my comment did I say a legal person could not vote. I repeat, Voting is the spine of this country and there should be no illegal or any other fraudulent vote. None, zip zero, nada

Sure a small % of the 800,000 may illegally vote, but that's not what Obama is going for. This is a move to show the hispanic population how he cares about hispanics and is pandering for the legal hispanic population to vote for him. See, some of those legal hispanics have illegal family members in the U.S., and this is an pandering outreach to influence that population in key states to boost his chances in November. He could have just given blanket amnesty but I think he'd need congress to get that passed... he would if he could.

Obama THINKS he does not need a change in the law, as we saw with fast & fuzzy, that he may just ignore the law and direct federal LEO agents to arrest and detain only who he says they can, turning "justice" effectively into "just us". The new plan is that illegal aliens arriving young, may get 12 years of free public education, work for 12 years and then be deported, once they turn 30, even if they have committed no OTHER crime. Obama figures that by the age of 30 they will ALL have had anchor babies, legal U.S. "natural born" citizens, as minor dependent children to demand pity (anmesty?). It really makes no sense at all, but it sounds so "dreamy" to the ignorant. Of course, since no actual immigration law was changed, it lasts only as long as Obama says it does, my guess is that is until January of 2013, when it no longer matters. Yes he did!

Let's say I own a liquor store.

I want to increase sales, so I decide to stop asking my customers for proof of age. Anyone can buy liquor at my store, they just have to show up with cash money. No ID required, they just have to say that they are 21.

Sales go through the roof. Sure, a lot of my new customers look young, but since I never check ID's I don't know how old they are. They said they were 21, after all.

Now, prove that I have been selling liquor to underage drinkers.
