Now isnt this interesting...The DPF conservative spin on this should be very entertaining lol

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) said on Sunday that he disagreed with Mitt Romney's recent statement that the governor's win in last week's recall election showed that voters oppose hiring more teachers, firefighters and police officers. "I think, in the end, the big issue is that the private sector still needs more help," he told Bob Schieffer on CBS's "Face the Nation." "The answer's not more big government. I know in my state, our reforms allowed us to protect firefighters, police officers and teachers. That's not what I think of when I think of big government."
Romney said on Friday that President Barack Obama missed the message from Wisconsin's recall election, which was held after outrage from some voters over Walker's law limiting collective bargaining rights of public sector workers.

"He says we need more firemen, more policemen, more teachers," Romney said. "Did he not get the message of Wisconsin? The American people did. It's time for us to cut back on government and help the American people."
Schieffer asked Walker whether he agreed that his victory showed "the American people want fewer cops and fewer teachers and fewer firemen."
"Well, I think it's slightly different," Walker replied. "I think in our case what they wanted is people willing to take on the tough issues, not only here in Wisconsin but across the country. And I think Governor Romney's got a shot, if the R next to his name doesn't just stand for Republican, it stands for reformer."

Well, at least Walker didn't say "Romney's dead to me."

If you read the article he right properly spanked him...you have to take into context that this election is right around the corner...and Romny was hailing walkers win as somehow vindicating him...and walker slapped his bottom for him...I took it as walker knows hes not out of the woods next election and he seized an opportunity to try and repair his image...he is no shoo in for re election in wisconsin...the democrats choose the wrong guy TWICE to run against him

Ohh Romney please keep mentioning Wisconsin and Walker.. and lets get all the facts out about that state and Walker... Will do wonders to your campaign being linked to a state with piss poor job creation, mass budget problems and of course a corruption scandal that is surrounding Walker...

I think more and more that Romney hired the DNC as his campaign manager...

Thats why walker slapped romney...he cant afford any more enemies in wisc...and if the democrats had picked a halfway decent candidate they would have sent walker packin.

Walker is dead man walking.. I suspect he will be forced to resign with in a year. You dont just transfer 100k to a legal defence fund unless you have something to hide.

I dont know about all that pete...and I wouldnt accuse him of anything until everything is out in the open...I doubt he will resign before his term is up...but he has no guarantee of re election...

Considering how many people in his administration and close to him have either gotten deals for testimony or are in prison, then it is only a matter of time. Dont people have to resign if they are indicted or arrested?

Not if they are democrats.

Well the way I see it is - the Repubs aren't walking "lockstep". I like it.

Some areas in the country may need more state employess, but not all.

Anyway, growing public sector jobs is not going to help the economy because you need private sector people with jobs to pay the taxes to finance these public sector jobs, yes?

And that would have been who?

I would suggest otherwise, the unions in particular would dream up a lawsuit, the unions thugs have now lost three times in a row. It would not surprise me if they went for four in a row.

Oh there will be 4 and 5 and 6 and 7 in a row...if you think this is over, your quite naive...no one is going to roll over for spoiled brat rich kids that never had a worry in thier life lol...

Doesn't this just show how badly the recall elections backfired. The fact that this is even newsworthy, shows how high Walker's star has risen - thanks in large part to failed recall elections.

The recall didn't fail there buddy. We managed to remove two more republicans from the state senate, and by doing so, we flipped the senate back to the democrats. So either he can work WITH the democrats or he can do nothing. See here in Wisconsin we've had a long history of working together to get stuff done. Not only did Walker break that history, but he did everything he could to force legislature through. He calls it "taking on the tough issues" ..

He has no need to work with the democrats. You may not realize this, but the seat they just won, that flipped the senate, is up for reelection in November and the senate is not back in session until then. Additionally, alot of the analysis I have heard, is that due to redistricting, republicans are expected to net two senate seats in the next election, and so, have a mighty good chance of having the majority back in the next session. Lastly, Van Waangard is expected, if he runs, to win the seat back in November (due to the same redistricting).

But, if you feel taking a senate seat for 4 months when the senate willl not be in session is some great victory and worth the hundreds of millions spent by the unions during the entire recall season, then enjoy it.

You may not realize this, buddy, but I hope and pray that the democrats and unions have many more and similarly meaningless victories. Save the big victories for the other side of the issues.

Little did Wisconsin know that when they were voting on Rebecca Kleefish for Lt. Governor, she would soon be sitting in the Governor's mansion in due time.

All that money spent attempting to recall Walker when they could have just waited a few months and let the court get rid of him for them.

I'm counting the days until they put this Teabagger in an orange jumpsuit. I don't think all of the Koch Brother's money will be able to help him when the court finally drops the hammer.

Stay tuned.

BTW, because I really do find it humorous. It seems the unions have sucessfully caused their supporters to move the goal posts at each of the relevant elections.

During the first senate recall elections:
Before: We will retake the senate.
After: We took 2 seats, this is a great victory.

During the Supreme Court election:
Before: Prosser will lose due to people against Ac10.
After: It was very close, this is a great victory.

During the governor recall election:
Before: Walker will lose and we can finally roll back Act10.
After: We took 1 senate seat, this is a great victory.

After the recall election:
Before: Walker will be indicted and in prison shortly
After: We'll have to see how they claim victory if it doesn''t happen

All Walker did was balance the budget.
What’s the matter with that.
Their Union seemed to have priced their members out of a contract.
Like my Union used to say, you can’t strike a broke company.

All walker has done is gotten himself investigated as we speak and lost jobs in Wisc and split the state down the middle...we'll see how this all works out for him in the ned...

Thats not going to happen...just like all the politicians before him he will slither out from under it and get away with it....aside from that Im unwilling to convict him before the evidence does

Walker has to do what the koch brothers tell him to do...they have 10s of millions invested in him, either the koch brothers told him to go against romney...or they are spanking him as we speak for being a bad boy.

The senate going to the democats has been avoided mention by the conservatives...having control of a chamber may be more important that having the governorship and not having both chambers....Just like the house teapartiers have stonewalled everything since the GOP took control of ONE chamber....

I'm not trying to spin anything. I personally couldn't care less that Walker disagrees with Romney - there is plenty I disagree with Romney on. I find it of much more interest that if not for the recall election, no one would even care that Walker disagreed with Romney.
