Scott Walker Disagrees With Mitt Romney On First Responders As 'Big Government'

All walker has done is gotten himself investigated as we speak and lost jobs in Wisc and split the state down the middle...we'll see how this all works out for him in the ned...

He actually gained jobs in WI - well, as much as the governor is responsible for job creation. The numbers will be official shortly (near the end of June).

The senate going to the democats has been avoided mention by the conservatives...having control of a chamber may be more important that having the governorship and not having both chambers...

You really find having control of the senate for 4 months when the senate won't even be in session and republicans are expected to retake it in November more important or are you just trying to search for a victory in the loss? Serious question, I find that very interesting.

The recall didn't fail there buddy. We managed to remove two more republicans from the state senate, and by doing so, we flipped the senate back to the democrats.

It was a massive failure.

Are you going to tell me all that union money (a lot more than what Dems would like to have everyone believe) was spent to win two measly state senate seats that are up for re-election in November anyway? No. It was to elect a weak man who would kowtow to the unions' every demand and to undo all of the work that Walker has done getting Wisconsin back on track financially. And I'm glad that your state knew better than to elect a man who would do that. Not to mention the recall being entirely unnecessary in the first place.

Now, that being said... Walker's comments on Romney are irrelevant for me. I think Obama will win Wisconsin, but by a narrow margin.

When is Walker's reelection, later this year?

He's got a bit more than 2.5 years left. I guess it's possible that the unions may try to recall him again next year. Is that possible? If so, I could see them doing something stupid like that.

I'm not trying to spin anything. I personally couldn't care less that Walker disagrees with Romney - there is plenty I disagree with Romney on. I find it of much more interest that if not for the recall election, no one would even care that Walker disagreed with Romney.

That may be true but thats not the medias fault is it ? Your trying to play it off as its not newsworthy and thats nonesense its more than just newsworthy. You have a republican Presidential Candidate that Hails Scott Walker as a hero and rants about how it shows how great he is....then the same Candidate Attacks obama and Uses walkers as an example in attacking him and Walker then publically disagrees with him..
You just dont like the message...this certainly was a reportable story

Not the senate seats that matter...ITS CONTROL OF THE SENATE...just like the gop taking control of the house...control of the senate has HUGE implications

You really are quite wrong. I don't mind the message at all. I also don't blame the media. It's the unions fault for, as i've heard many media commentators state "taking a shot at the king and missing". They've turned him into nearly mythical figure - and his comments will get more national play then they otherwise would have.

I am not a fan of Romney and this may actually be newworthy - I dunno, I don't particuarly care, but it's not my call. I just find the interest in it where I find it and to me the more interesting piece of it is that Walker has become lionized due to the unions failed recall.

And you feel that way even though its for 4 months and the senate is not in session during that time? I just can't believe I would find a victory in that if the roles were reversed. Oh well, each their own.

Sometimes they resign to avoid prosecution, like Nixon & Palin. :peace

Considering how many people in his administration and close to him have either gotten deals for testimony or are in prison, then it is only a matter of time. Dont people have to resign if they are indicted or arrested?

You say Thugs, I say working people. :peace

I would suggest otherwise, the unions in particular would dream up a lawsuit, the unions thugs have now lost three times in a row. It would not surprise me if they went for four in a row.

They managed to "get to" the SCOTUS, what makes you think they can't arrange things for Walker??? :peace

Little did Wisconsin know that when they were voting on Rebecca Kleefish for Lt. Governor, she would soon be sitting in the Governor's mansion in due time.

All that money spent attempting to recall Walker when they could have just waited a few months and let the court get rid of him for them.

I'm counting the days until they put this Teabagger in an orange jumpsuit. I don't think all of the Koch Brother's money will be able to help him when the court finally drops the hammer.

Stay tuned.

First he gave away the projected surplus to the "Job Creators", then he took it back from Workers.[/FONT]

All Walker did was balance the budget.
What’s the matter with that.
Their Union seemed to have priced their members out of a contract.
Like my Union used to say, you can’t strike a broke company.

Thats why walker slapped romney...he cant afford any more enemies in wisc...and if the democrats had picked a halfway decent candidate they would have sent walker packin.

I'm not so sure about that. A lot of those who voted to keep Walker don't like him, but felt that recalls should only be for criminal activity. Of course, they might change their minds once Walker is indicted. LOL.

I'm not really keeping up--how likely is it that Walker will be indicted?

....except that as I recall, the Wisconsin Senate isn't going to be in session until after they have the November elections anywho... so it hasn't really done anything except give one Democrat an "incumbent" advantage.

Based on the little I know, it is not at all likely, despite the claims of the left..
