George Will criticized Donald Trump's role in Mitt Romney's campaign on Sunday's "This Week," calling the real estate mogul a ”bloviating ignoramus.”

Trump endorsed Romney in the Republican presidential race in February. He is scheduled to appear with Romney at a May 29 fundraiser in Las Vegas, even as the Romney campaign refutes his claims that President Obama was not born in the U.S. Trump recently raised his birther views again in a new interview.

I do not understand the cost benefit here," Will lamented. "The costs are clear. The benefit — what voter is gonna vote for [Romney] because he is seen with Donald Trump. The cost of appearing with this bloviating ignoramus is obvious it seems to me." His fellow panel members laughed at the remark. Will continued, “Donald Trump is redundant evidence that if your net worth is high enough, your IQ can be very low and you can still intrude into American politics. Again, I don’t understand the benefit. What is Romney seeking

Donald Trump: George Will is ‘overrated fool’

Donald Trump blasted George Will Monday for suggesting recently that the Republican Party should give up on winning the White House in 2012, calling the conservative columnist “a totally overrated fool.”

“I think he’s a totally overrated fool. I think this guy is so overrated. I don’t think he’s really smart, he looks smart with the little glasses and hair swept to the side,” Trump said on “Fox & Friends.” “That was one of the dumbest [comments]. … I think he’s a totally overrated pundit.”

Choosing Donald Trump as a photo buddy is about as brilliant as choosing Sarah P. as your running mate.

I'm very surprised at Romney's decision. He seems to be a pretty intelligent guy and this seems like an off-track decision.

More and more I worry that this election will be between two ****ups and that we will lose no matter the outcome. <<takes Xanax>> oh well, so what, that's nothing new.:)

Most of the GOP primary candidates gravitated toward Trump, I could never understand why... I suppose it's because he's rich. Since he's a big time birther, I don't know how he helps Romney except money.

Must be an awful lot of money. Trump is a national clown, regardless of his success with bankruptcies. He's not respected. Romney seems like a very serious person and that's good for him. Giving the impression you're serious gets you votes. Of course, so do false promises....

Well there's "rich" and there's 'really' rich. One thing that is often a topic of conversation in the bars here in Palm Beach - Is the Donald really rich? or is he a shyster? He is a member of the 1% but a billionaire? probably not. Oh, he has as much money as Mitt but no where near as much as he claims to possess.

Donald Trump Admits Under Oath That He's Exaggerated How Much Money He's Made

I'm sorry but there is no other way to descibe Romney's behavior toward Trump but WIMP. He's afraid of Trump and his birther buddies, afraid to stand up to him for fear of not being Right wing enough. He can't seem to stand for anything on his own.
It's pretty sad to see him grovel that way to that bimbo when he wants to be President. I would be ashamed to call him Commander in Chief.
