TELL ME why does the government have an entitlement to more money UNTIL it can prove it doesn't waste what it gets now?
Because it has tanks and close air support?

no shock at all. stupidity is often something people are born with-the NEA merely accentuates it.

Greed and envy too-govenment merely amplifies it

You give us a laundry list.

It would be nice if it was accompanied by actual evidence of those things.

The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers

Patriotism is in the eye of the beholder and it seems to be quite regularly used to get people to "fall in line" with other's beliefs.
I agree. They can withdraw from this arrangement on any day of their choosing. There is no Berlin Wall confining them here against their will.

    Billy asks the following questions:

So how would you cut the welfare roles?

Good question. I imagine it would take a combination of things including having a first rate education system which properly educates and prepares citizens to assume adult responsibilities and that would include work. I also favor a person doing an actual job which has benefit to society if we are going to hand them a check anyways.

    How about balancing the budget?
I do not think that is a short term achievable goal since we are so out of whack right now. It starts with cutting $300 billion now and taking it year by year as we raise revenues at the same time.

    How about cutting spending?

    $300 billion right away.

How many govt agencies would you gut? How many would you totally get rid of?

    I do not know.

That is a serious matter that deserves serious consideration.

Actually my FICA proposal would ONLY effect the 7 to 9% of Americans who ARE NOT now paying the tax on ALL their earnings the way that the other 91 to 93% of Americans are. You cannot raise the taxes on them because they already pay on 100% of their earnings.

The average American hasn't yet figured out that wealthy Americans no longer view themselves as Americans. They view themselves as belonging to the "international community". Nationalism is just a tool to control the impoverished and ignorant. It always has been and always will be, hence why movements like the Tea Party gather around it.

Again, as with perhaps half the things you write in reply to me, I have no idea what you are talking about due to the intentionally brief style you have intentionally adopted so as to present as small of a target as is humanly possible.
