Ted Nugent explodes at notion he's not a moderate

LOLOL

Did anyone ever care about Ted Nugent and his music?

Apparently you haven't been reading this forum. He's right up there with the greats of rock and roll!

Are you actually suggesting that you somehow used the word queer in some other context than as a slur to gay people? Really? Talk about buying one's own bull****.

The irony of the ignorance comment is epic.

It was one of those "Ooops, I probably stepped in it. Let me see if I can finesse my way out' posts. It didn't work.

The fact is Ted (even with all his asshattery) is already a legend in the music industry.

A legend? Really? Bruce Springsteen is a legend. Elvis was a legend. Ted Nugent... not so much. Personally, I doubt I'd ever have heard of him if he didn't spout off about politics in an asshole-ish manner on a regular basis.

Anything that deviates from the expected or normal...

Queer meaning strange. Look it up, before spouting off your ignorance.

Yes, and when bigots state that "I don't give a **** whether two queers marry" they're talking about strange people!:lamo

Absolutely, but I sense a certain queer feeling of contempt in your post :)

If only your attempt at humor was actually funny. Perhaps when I was in 7th grade.

wait a minute.. Bob Seger is great...he's a legend... but not because of his guitar playing.
vocals and songwriting is what he is known for.

Question; What are Bob Segar's political veiws?

LOL trick question doesn't matter?
Left or Right Segar plays good music, Ted Nugent talks and talks and talks and maybe jumps around on stage.:peace

Stop deflecting and man up. :2razz: Answer the question....

What is a far rightie? How do you define a far rightie? Is Nugent a far rightie?

Ask me that question ric.

As for my friend haymarket he's a nice guy but tends to be too polite sometimes.:peace

.... No offence my man, I love Elvis... but there´s really no question that he was a pop star. Not a song writer in the true sense of the words. He even admitted to borrowing HEAVILY from people like BB King. We can call him influenced, inspired or whatever but he gave his own twist to existing music and made a lot of money because of it. He was the Michael Jackson of his time. A great performer, a talented artist but there´s little question that he borrowed from other people.

To true ,to true,:peace

Few times, you'll see, Ted wearing a suit.

Enjoy!

Meh. The only things in the video I really liked were the spastic dancing girls. Gotta love the 60's.

E is worshipped by both blacks and whites. E did not rip off anyone. The man had his own unique style

E can never be duplicated ... A one of a kind deal

I would urge you to read this article:

Sam Phillips: Sun Records - The Man Who Invented Rock & Roll : Elvis Articles : Official Elvis Presley Fan Club : Elvis Australia : sam phillips, sun studios, memphis, johnny cash, B.B. King, Little Milton, The Prisonaires, Jackie Brenston, Rocket 88

Presley did indeed have style. And he had talent. And he had charisma.

He also had much more knowledgeable and experienced people around him who 1) knew what to do with it, and 2) expand upon it and develop it.

Now that is the nicest thing anyone has said about me all day. :2wave::cool:

Bruce Springsteen may be the one person in the history of rock music to stay on top for so long and be amazingly creative during his entire run. Many people have had forty year plus careers based on a five year display of hits. The Boss continues to turn out truly great music decade after decade. To be sure, not in the rapid machine gun style of the first decade, but still some great stuff into his sixties.

Ten Nugent is not even in the same league with him. Hell, I even think I should apologize at putting him in with a post about Springsteen.

Don't let that get around or posters on the forum will be calling me a nice guy, I do have a reputation to uphold you know . LOL:peace

Okay - let me know when I should make a post calling you a dirty, corrupt, SOB with commie racist tendencies and dangerously bolshevik beliefs that you got from attending too many Leon Trotsky Marching Society meetings. It will fool everybody.

If Ted Nugent = Bruce Springsteen, then rocket88 = Jimmy Page.

i have no idea what Bob Seger's political views are... and I don't care either, his music is great and that's all there is to it.

I don't judge a musicians talent on his politics... I know,I know, that a lil wierd ... but that's how i am.

I think Springsteen is overrated.
He is a phenomenal writer, his style is a little above average, his band is fantastic. That said in some circles he is a little overhyped.

Thank you , you just made my point, so why is Ted Nugent being discussed on Debate politics Forum?
Is it his songwriting capabilities... don't think so
Is it because of his in depth knowledge of music....don't think so
Is it because of his guitar playing such as it was or as it is... don't think so
Is it because he's so interesting ... don't think so

Maybe it's because of his political speech is so eloquent ... don't think so
After all threatening to chop the head off a political leader in America seems a bit stupid to me.

Am I missing something?:peace

I kinda like Springsteen, he had a marketing style that was genius.

You always hear the musicians come on and say all they care about is music, but actually they care about selling records.

Springsteen came on as an average guy with torn jeans singing about small towns.
Another one used the same marketing ploy, John Cougar Melencamp.
Check their record sales compared to Ted Nugent

Never underestimate the small town sales of America:peace
