That KISS is not in the HOF is reason enough not to take that institution seriously. Maybe their songs weren't great masterpieces, but nobody is more famous. Even if it's the "Hall of Good Musicians," most of those acts deserve in. For sure Dire Straits and the Moody Blues. Chicago was kind of up and down -- "25 or 6 to 4" YES; anything sung by Peter Cetera, not so much.
Though Gene Simmons did endorse Rick Perry. 4 years ago he endorsed Obama....can't tell his politics from there.
There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers
Good to know there's a musician somewhere named Dan. I think there are Bill's and Bob's and Dave's too. I don't discredit Pisspants because of his political stance, appalling though it is. I discredit him because he's a nothing musically.
