Yep, by making it difficult or impossible for people to get to work or to do their business this will win others to their cause. The stupidity of the occu-tard is their own worst enemy.

May 1st Blockade Called For New York Bridges, Tunnels, and Ferries
On May 1, 2012, autonomous direct action groups within Occupy Wall Street, as a part of the global mobilizations for general strike and economic non-compliance, will block one or more Manhattan-bound bridges or tunnels to protest the shameful opulence of the 1%. Working and unemployed people across this country have seen no improvement to their lives in spite of all of the chatter about a recovery from the Financial Crisis of 2008. We don’t care what Obama or Romney say because only working people —domestic laborers, rank and file union members, undocumented workers, restaurant, retail and chain-store workers— can solve today’s problems

Too bad I don't drive into NYC.... I'd go out of my way to run over a couple of those worthless wastes of flesh and oxygen on 5/1/2012; and I hope a whole bunch of other people do as well. Maybe bouncing off the front bumpers of a couple SUV's at 50 mph will knock some sense into their heads.

Blocking bridges, tunnels, ferries, and other means that the 99% use to get to work. That'll fix the 1% that they hate. Don't the 1% have cell phones, internet connections, and helicopters?

A month too late. OWS should done this on April Fools Day

I'm going to book my flight today to stand with them.

You have to admire the OWS crowd.

They are pushing the boundaries of "FAIL" to new heights. Kudos!

I loved this banner -"Don't go to work or school on Tuesday![/B].

threats of violence could land you in jail, friend. You should avoid such comments.

OWS sure does love to piss off hard-working, Middle-class Americans.

who mostly uses these bridges & tunnels? hard-working Middle-class Americans.

I ain't your friend, and I have no problem simply stating what I would and will do if confronted by these idiots.

saying that you would go out of your way to commit attempted murder, and you hope others do the same, is not cool

if someone actually threatened to commit such acts in a serious way, I'd immediately contact my relative who is a Captian in the NYPD Intelligence Division.

The NYPD has a intelligence division? Where in NY do they find employees?

I like the false contrast between "OWS" and "hard-working, Middle-class Americans". ;)

Never seen much concerning OWS which indicates the contrast is false. The vast majority of them appear to be privileged or semi-privileged white kids.

As part of Occupy Wall Street’s call for a nationwide “general strike” May 1, elements within the group are looking to shut down bridges and tunnels in both New York and San Francisco.
Occupy Oakland, the most radical of all the local Occupy groups, passed a resolution April 15 that vows to shut down all travel from Marin to San Francisco.
“If any of the unions on the Golden Gate bridge declare a strike or shutdown action on May Day, we will act in solidarity with these striking workers and the international call for a general strike on May Day, by blockading the flow of capital to the Golden Gate Bridge Highway and Transportation District. This will be accomplished by a collaboration of pickets and direct action which will shut down all modes of transportation from Marin to San Francisco,” went the statement on the website Occupythebridge.com.

Really on "international workers day" the socialist holiday?

Nah, it's not a left wing movement.... Anyway, if one person dies because a rescue vehicle is stalled, they should be charged with murder... But let's be real here. This movement is long dead and nothing will be stopped.

The real sad part is the Occupy movement could have been a real instrument for change if they would have organized and executed rationally (i.e. not been an annoying mob by camping out and causing problems for cities).

Instead they chose to be just a group and party mob whose only real goal (through their actions) is to hurt the people they claim to want to help.

The occupy movement one of the greatest fails in Human history.

I think you just stated the very reasons I find/found it hard to support them.

The underlying beliefs that OWS is supposed to stand for (at least as I understand them) is something we as Americans should be pursuing. The OWS ranks are full of idiots who can't even practice what they attempt to preach and that is ruining what could be a very beneficial cause. I personally hope OWS reorganizes and makes a legit attempt to make a difference, not just create headaches.

It's a Leftist movement. There's no way they could have, "executed rationally".

I disagree with all of you. Something must be done to alter the 1%/99% makeup of this Nation. The bankers and large Korporate USA nearly bankrupted the USA. They got big raises for doing that. OWS is just trying to keep the memory of that in the Media (the Mighty Wurlitzer). Pretty hard to do when the Media is bought and paid for with 1% money. May Day is a holiday celebrating the struggle to attain a 40 hour work week. That is a struggle that caused great brutality and deaths here in the USA, but most people do not realize that. It is a labor holiday, not a socialist holiday. The repression of the holiday in the USA indicates the power of big business to control National events with National Media. Do your homework on May Day. If you are against May Day, you are against the working man. I don't see anybody else trying to help the working man. I see Republicans trying to get tax breaks for the 1% and lying with the statement that it will create jobs. I see the Democrats were in support of bailing ouot the Big Banking leeches. Who's working for the little guy? That would be OWS, even if they are doing it poorly.

So you support shutting down bridges even if that means someone dies cause they cant get to the hospital....

They arent working for the little guy either. OWS in almost every area they occupied hurt small business and helped support big business. They were a bunch of self righteous hypocrites. I went to an OWS rally. All I saw were Wal-Mart bags full of merchandise from big businesses. I saw countless people with bags from McDonalds and the line at the McDees across the street was long as hell. There were Nike swooshes as far as my eyes could see. These people can say what they want but until they start acting and stop giving their money to these big businesses and actually start supporting the little guys that you think they are fighting for then they arent doing anything other than contributing to what they are supposed to be against.
