This is essentially the anti-OWS version of the "baby-killer" mantra. You do realize that right?
Nobody who wins a war indulges in a bifurcated definition of victory. War is a political act; victory and defeat have meaning only in political terms. A country incapable of achieving its political objectives at an acceptable cost is losing the war, regardless of battlefield events.

Bifurcating victory (e.g. winning militarily, losing politically) is a useful salve for defeated armies. The "stab in the back" narrative helped take the sting out of failure for German generals after WWI and their American counterparts after Vietnam.

All the same, it's nonsense. To paraphrase Vince Lombardi, show me a political loser, and I'll show you a loser.

LOL - well: those thing were taking place in some areas - I don't think it was because of hte 'message' of the movement. but because of the construct of the 'occupy' part: it attracted vagrants. . . I don't think that was their intent nor do they all want that to be 'the' thing - but it happened.

It has happened before, but there is nothing to compare it to now.

True it did happen. But like only small amount of incidents. Just when the media reports it and reports it over and over again..

It's not clear that they understand why they're protesting either, but they'll still remain convinced in their self-righteousness that they are taking the high road, working for the good of humanity, and are the only hope left for America. Plus they figure they may have a chance to get laid.

Because what i can tell is the people are also protesting against the 2 party system and the democrats would be apart of that 2 party system.

Right after you show me how the republican party had a hand in starting the tea party.

Still no seeing the point of these "occupy" protests. What do they accomplish by clogging the streets? I'm all for peaceable protests, but these are just stupid.
I love the NSA. It's like having a secret fan-base you will never see, but they're there, watching everything you write and it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside knowing that I may be some person's only form of unconstitutional entertainment one night.

The OWS is not centralized so different people are protesting different things.

they were a movement before that. Like the tea party, the OWS of dubious causes was hijacked by idiots with thier own agendas. like student loan forgivness, environmental statism, and party goers...

It's also a tool of the buffets to push his "do as I say not as I do" tax nonsense. all aimed at coporate america (while they sip on thier starbucks)., while ignoring the government that gives the companies these monies....
