You think that mentality has only been around 3 years? Try decades.

Yes, quite a few decades. It has been going on for pretty much as long as men have been attracted to women and as long as there has been money, there was probably some type of exchange system even before money was invented. I cannot say exactly how long Secret Service members have engaged in hiring prostitutes, but for the military, it goes way back. In more modern times, look at the Korean war and troops taking R and R to places like the Philippines. Then Vietnam, in the Philippines and in Thailand. For the most part, anytime that military forces have been stationed someplace where prostitution is legal, some have chosen to participate in it.

Six men have now lost their jobs over this. The White House has concluded that these men did not endanger the Pesident nor were the prostitutes allowed access to any sensitive or classified information. While I am no fan of the Obama White House, I do agree with their point of view on this issue. These men were fired because of the moral stance of their superiors, not because they failed to do their duty.

The military personnel have been stipped of their security clearances and will probably face some sort of legal actions. Considering the long history with the military and prostitution overseas, it is unjust to take actions because they engaged the services of prostitutes where it was legal to do so. Those who did violate curfew should be judged and tried soley upon their violation of an order, not for engaging prostitutes.

Prostitution is a moral issue. Also, there are no national level laws against it, all laws in the US pertaining to prostitution are at the state and local levels. It is not the Federal governments job to enforce any moral code upon individuals.

This has more to do with the example that is being set for them by their CIC. He doesn't have to follow the rules, so why should these agents think that they have to.
Ahh the sweet, sweet smell of right wing desperation.

You and your ilk will try to politicize this. (Grassley already is. Hell even Karl Rove is smart enough to know that is a stupid idea)The American public is smart enough to know better. Well, except for right wing Fake News Sheep who buy into this steamy pap. They won't matter come election time.
