Also, these agents were sent to Columbia AHEAD of Obama's appearance there. They were not the ones directly responsible for safety. This occurred when the president was thousands of miles away.

That's why they called them undercover agents.

Yeah, this agent didn't want to pay the $47 because he thought he was so good, she should be paying him. Then again, what can you get for $47? She must have been so ugly, of course he didn't want to pay after he sobered up.

She may have been, but you can't judge it by that dollar amount--the dollar goes a long way in countries in that part of the world, so that 47 dollars may be quite a lot of money. I know that is the case in Ecuador and Panama, because I have visited both of those countries (that are next to Columbia).

My first instinct is to say, if I was forced to guard that little turds life I would need stress relief too but the reality is these guys are supposed to be professionals and this kind of behavior is completely unacceptable.

From new info, it appears that the prostitute's fee was not in question. Instead, the hotel staff noticed that one of the guys had an additional guest to which he owed $47. That was the whole thing that got the police involved.

Details are still emerging, but the behavior of the agents initially attracted attention during a dispute at the Hotel Caribe over payment for an extra "guest."

According to a senior law enforcement official, an employee approached at least one Secret Service agent and demanded that he pay extra money for having an additional overnight guest in his room.

The agent balked, which eventually resulted in a confrontation and forced diplomatic intervention.

The official said the guest involved apparently was a prostitute.

Ah, well, disciplinary action would be in order for that agent-- their rooms are expensed, so if he was unwilling to pay the extra fee out of his own pocket, he's either responsible for trying to expense whores, or for trying to cheat local businesses. Bad diplomacy.

So the language has moved on to calling the president something other than human...
