Point being that since he was afraid of the punishment involved is proof that deterrence works.

Point being that if deterrence works, why pass additional laws?

Unless the small-government liberty-loving patriotic right wing simply wants to make government larger by passing more laws. . . .

Since you support a new regulation (some sort of gov't issued photo voter ID), the burden is upon you to show why it is a good thing.

    Good luck

Actually you have, but you choose to ignore or discount it (there is a study floating around somewhere, linked in this very thread IIRC, and there are a few anecdotal news reports that have been posted here in the past).

However, as you noted in a previous post, just because there is no proof that it would disenfranchise millions does not meant that it would not disenfranchise millions

If those numbers are anywhere close to the truth, the requirement can prevent/discourage many more people from voting legitimately than the total number of fraud (of which the ID requirement can only prevent a small part).
Say...some may view this differently...but me...I try to stay positive, look for the positives and see the bright side of life. So...can we take from this that we now do fully accept that there IS INDEED voter fraud (seeing as how I posted 8 separate incidents including over 50 people from a single brief Google search), though we may ultimately disagree on how much actually occurs? Sheesh...it would so nice to be able to finally resolve THAT.

Absentee ballots, all three links. The proposed voter ID laws would have no effect on any of those cases. It seems the goal post moving is all yours.

Again, all absentee ballots, all outside the scope of the proposed voter ID laws. Your skill at failure is award-winning

Yes. There was a thread on it here... weren't you in it?

So, out of some 920 people you claim have committed or been charged with actual voter fraud, you got 1 verified correct so far. Not bad. . . . . . . . . but don't let us stop you now
