Current TV Dismisses Keith Olbermann

Re: Keith Olbermann Fired Again!

Bias does happen. But I don't know how one can say that its a "breath of fresh air" to have facts which are only one sided, spun and presented as another side of news.

Okay, I accept your opinion. But it won't change my opinion on the issue.

How fragile does your ego have to be to find this much satisfaction in this? Jesus why do you care this passionately to tear everything down about a guy?

I can certainly sympathize - Olberman is the king prima Donna douche and has turned into his own creation "The worst person in the world". That garners at least some gloating and jeering from the portion of the public who recognize it and would like to acknowledge it.

Now that's funny.

I remember when Steve Doocy was a local reporter in DC. He was always the guy they'd send out to cover the circus coming to town or the birth of a new monkey at the zoon. Next thing I know I see the guy on Fox and I'm supposed to take his political opinion seriously?

He did his job, didn't he. He didn't use his position to further a political agenda. That's the problem with idealogues who think they're journalists.

Remember, this guy was the left's Rush Limbaugh.

People would actually have to listen to him for that to be true.

They used to watch him when he was on MSNBC. He used to be very popular with the left. He used to be a lot of things. He's a used to be. He forgot a valuable lesson in life or else he never learned it. Be nice to people because you meet the same people on the way up as you do on the way down. When you use people as stepping stones to success, you may have a little problem walking on those same stones again.

Not so sure about Keith being Rush's counterbalance. The much bashed left that never stands for responsibility fired their douche. Can't say the self righteous Right is going to send Rush on.

Both are bombastic douchi, only one the liberal boss has some convictions.

Many liberals have convictions. Blago is the latest one I think.

This entire episode is a sad one. KO was a great talent and brought real analysis to the political stage in his MSNBC show. I will not apologize for being a regular viewer nor will I back down from being somebody who loved his show and enjoyed greatly his tweaking of the right wing. However, he seems to have been his own undoing due to his own personality quirks and his own poor treatment of his fellow workers and colleagues.

His latest firing from the Al Gore fledgling operation reminds me of the great shortstop for the Chicago Cubs in the Fifties and Sixties. The tale has it that Banks went into the President of the Cubs office to get a better contract and wanted to be the highest paid shortstop in the league. He was turned down with this rebuke........ "Ernie, we finished last with you and we can finish last without you."

The ratings for the Gore network are so small that this means nothing.

I do hope it serves as a wake-up call to an otherwise great talent and he takes it as an opportunity to get his act together.

He reaps what he sows.

Yet another enemy made by the biggest puke bucket in political commentary industry today.

Oh I don't know. There is a bevy of them over on Fake News that are equal asshats.

I wonder what Billy Martin would have to say about this.

I loved Billy Martin. I remember back in 1969 when he managed the Twins. He punched out one of his own bullpen pitchers in a bar.

Or how about George Stephanopoulos? He was in the Clinton Admin, as a Senior Advisor for Policy and Strategy and then, . . . . ta da . . . . he's a news commentator. Of course, when he started with President Clinton he was a communications something or other. He was used to fielding tough questions and putting lipstick on pigs with Clinton, so he probably is a good news person.

That someone can spell george's name is worthy of a like in my book! If putting lipstick on pigs was a recommendation then where are BushII's spokespersons?

Back to Kieth-
I guess it just goes to show no matter the talent, and that is subjective, a pr*ck is a Pr*ck and eventually you get tired of all the drama.

I had a poster in my barrack room of a hot chick, with little on, posing like Farrah. The caption was, "Somewhere there is a guy tired of putting up with her sh*t!"

No matter the looks, wit, or clear insight, a prima donna eventually wears it thin. Google 'conservative talk show hosts fired' and stand back to be amazed. Pr*cks no matter the orientation get canned.

Though the OP's visual of the bucket was classic!
