I was thinking something more like this....

I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on whats being proposed here, hed agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute. - Chuck Schumer (D). Yet, Madison and Mason wrote the Bill of Rights, according to Sheila Jackson Lee, 400 years ago. Yup, it's a fact.

He offers nothing to humanity. This is not a shock.

It is funny in the article they say they made the network to give a 'non corporate-controlled media' for people to get there info from. Um, aren't they a corporation????

"Current TV" is actually 'real'? Seriously? I thought it was just a joke people were making to ridicule Al Gore. Do they actually have a measurable viewing audience?

Liberal mass media outfits based primarily on issues tend to not do well while outfits that are based primarily on information, such as NPR are very successful. My guess is that there is a difference in preference for information consumption between ideologies, can't find any studies on the subject though, so I don't know.

So...it IS real though? Well...I guess it makes sense...Al Gore can counter his profits on carbon credits and his sham green initiatives with the 'business' losses.

Eh, I'm not surprised. I imagine the only human on the planet who isn't suffocated by his intense narcissism and enormous ego is probably his mother. This is a man who is universally dispised by every human being who has ever had to work with or around him. I'm never surprised to see him fired. The only thing that surprises me is when some fool gives him a job, and thinks he'll be different.

No loss to anyone... except my gullible husband, who actually liked his MSNBC show because he made fun of Bill O'Reilly.

It is... I think Comcast in my area carries it. (Just checked) yes it's channel 107 on Comcast. I just tuned in, and it's "Viewpoint" with Elliot Spitzer in Olberman's spot.

He was, for a time, a well-spoken and on-point commentator. Then he went over the edge and I tuned him out.
I'm already gearing up for Finger Vote 2014.

Just for reference, means my post was a giant steaming pile of sarcasm.

Most measures I have seen shows that NPR has a very slight liberal POV. In some its almost not measurable (unless its someone like Taviss Smiley or Terry Gross, they are flaming), but I think a good bit of the charm isn't in the information, but in the style and presentation. Voices tend to be calm with a measured cadence for example.

I didn't understand what you were going on with the al gore stuff, but I don't pay attention to that guy so probably am missing some bit of context.

I always liked listening to Olberman and Bob Costas talk baseball, but politically he was nothing less than what he despised on the other side.
