I also tuned it out. I also wrote them and told them why and why they would do better without him. Obviously, there must have been many people who felt the same way because he was gone shortly after that.

Like the wingnuts said about Limbaugh -- Olberman is probably worth over $60 million. Poor fella.

Apparently he he just can't get along with anyone.
"The necessaries of life occasion the great expense of the poor. They find it difficult to get food, and the greater part of their little revenue is spent in getting it. The luxuries and vanities of life occasion the principal expense of the rich, and a magnificent house embellishes and sets off to the best advantage all the other luxuries and vanities which they possess. ... It is not very unreasonable that the rich should contribute to the public expense, not only in proportion to their revenue, but something more than in that proportion."

I'd like to apologize to my viewers and my staff for the failure of Current TV.

Editorially, Countdown had never been better. But for more than a year I have been imploring Al Gore and Joel Hyatt to resolve our issues internally, while I've been not publicizing my complaints, and keeping the show alive for the sake of its loyal viewers and even more loyal staff. Nevertheless, Mr. Gore and Mr. Hyatt, instead of abiding by their promises and obligations and investing in a quality news program, finally thought it was more economical to try to get out of my contract.

It goes almost without saying that the claims against me implied in Current's statement are untrue and will be proved so in the legal actions I will be filing against them presently. To understand Mr. Hyatt's "values of respect, openness, collegiality and loyalty," I encourage you to read of a previous occasion Mr. Hyatt found himself in court for having unjustly fired an employee. That employee's name was Clarence B. Cain.

In due course, the truth of the ethics of Mr. Gore and Mr. Hyatt will come out. For now, it is important only to again acknowledge that joining them was a sincere and well-intentioned gesture on my part, but in retrospect a foolish one. That lack of judgment is mine and mine alone, and I apologize again for it.
    Wow. He's flaming out spectacularly.

Yeah, I think you've got the right perspective on this.

And Olbermann is being replaced by none other than Elliot Spitzer. LOL

His first show guests include Anthony Weiner, John Edwards, Bill Clinton, and Tiger Woods.

He's the guy that goes postal and shoots up the office on the way out.
Abhor is probably the best word.

He isn't even allowed to set foot on ESPN's property anymore! That's real hatred.

Remember. This is guy used to be the Rush Limbaugh of the left. Tonight candles will be lit all over this great nation to "Speak Truth to Power" for dear Keith.

Well I enjoyed Keith Olbermann when he first started on MSNBC, but when he got fired and went to Current, I thought he was unwatchable. Good riddance! No biggie.
