How do you know he isn't? Not like the Tea Party has a registry of members or something. I thought the Tea Party was full of Americans of all races, stripes and political affiliations? Or are you going to admit it's just another Republican invention?

Haha, it's already an issue and nothing has happened yet. Many do the whole "violent gun toting Teabaggers" routine when there isn't any violence. People will hate their opposition and extreme partisanship/literal hatred of those you disagree with is just evil in my opinion.

It's only excusable insofar as they were the only photos available at the time. But that time was very brief, and since then, it's been journalistic malpractice, yes.

The problem is a simple one. Joko has tried EVERYTHING to divert from the fact that Zimmerman was in the wrong. Not only has he insinuated that Trayvon Martin was a drug dealing criminal, he's used fake pictures, false reports and weak journalism to attack this kid. He's even gone as far as saying he's not a kid because well - he could have gotten into the Marines (never you mind he would need his parents to consent - not much of a man). He's absolutely desperate to paint this as a case of Trayvon Martin being a criminal on the prowl and Zimmerman as just another concerned citizen protecting himself.

Are you seriously suggesting that if the press could show that Zimmerman had been active in the TEA party, some of your liberal buddies wouldn't make an issue of that?

I take it you have read my posts on this issue and I know you are smart enough to understand what I said

I am critical of this guy getting out of his car when told not to

I don't know what happened in terms of what caused the shooting. I believe this case was handled poorly by the cops. When I shot a black youth who had jumped me (along with another) I was detained for two hours and questioned by the police and the DA for the entire county. I was not cuffed nor arrested because three witnesses who had no clue who I was confirmed everything I told the cops and the non-shot mugger claimed I just whipped out a gun and started shooting 20 feet away from him and his friend-the paramedics told the cops the shooting was a contact shooting as I had said. So after two hours, when my story was confirmed by three witnesses and the paramedics plus the evidence proved the mopes were lying, I was released and the DA said I was not gonna be charged though he was going to convene a grand jury and require me to testify which I did.

now in this case there were no such witnesses nor forensic proof that one side was lying. so Zimmerman should have been detained, questioned etc

an asst. DA wanted to charge Zimmerman with manslaughter, but his boss said "no".

Zimmerman was taken into custody, questioned and released.

Holy Christ, I fear for us all if we have to take this tragedy to levels like this. Who honestly cares this guy's lean? It does not change a thing nor does it excuse anything. Seriously, people need to stop grasping at anything here.

Did you go looking for these kid's school records to try and find anything you could to prove these guys were capable of such a thing? Millions of kids do stupid **** all around the country - they don't deserve to be called criminals because of it. Whomever attacked you was actually looking to start something. They weren't just getting some food and bumped into you. You were minding your own business and two people actually came after you.

I probably did more actual criminal **** by the time I was 14 than Trayvon did in his entire life. Yet I smartened up, became a father, got a mortgage, and now for all intended purposes I'm a law abiding citizen. To call a 17 year old a criminal because of some weed, a screw driver and jewelry that belonged to a friend is ridiculous.

Well, I have to admit. You might be right about this. I teach at a University, so the liberals and conservatives I know would NEVER EVER think anything of the sort.

That includes my 18 year old students.

Maybe this whole thing is in worse shape than I thought.

By "this whole thing," I mean America.
