Geraldo Rivera: Trayvon Martin's 'Hoodie Is As Much Responsible As Shooter

How do you wear a hoodie in a certain way that makes you a criminal?
Did I say it makes one a "criminal"?
But wearing a hoodie in a certain way can be intimidating and even suspicious, especially when engaged in certain behaviors or acting in certain ways.
I am sorry if you don't want to admit that.

But I will say this.
If you are wearing a hoodie this way, you just might be a criminal.

I was wearing a hoodie this morning. Thank God Zimmerman wasn't around.
Good for you. I was too.

Supposedly there's an eyewitness or two stating that Treyvon was on top of Zimmerman, beating him, prior to the gunshot. If this is true, it tends to support the SD claim and makes the whole "its because he was black in a hoodie" issue rather irrelevant.

That's the thing, the woman who made the 911 call said she couldn't tell who was yelling for help. It is best to let the law sort it all out instead of these games we play.

Could you please provide a link to this information?

Thats the problem. The police dept there were not going to sort it out until the public became inflamed. The police there acted as if it was a simple jaywalking case.

You simply can't go out and kill an unarmed or even a person with a concealed weapon just because he was different than you. If that was allowed then every person with a physical disability would be open season.

But I will say this.
If you are wearing a hoodie this way, you just might be a criminal.

Those aren't hoodies, those are ski masks, and at any rate what's threatening about that picture is the fact that they are POINTING GUNS AT SOMEONE.

EDIT: My bad. On a second look, it would appear that those are hoodies worn backwards. Still think that what's threatening is the guns.

Witnesses told ABC News a fist fight broke out and at one point Zimmerman, who outweighed Martin by more than 100 pounds, was on the ground and that Martin was on top.

Geraldo is a retard.

I'm not a fangirl, but that's pretty harsh. He's a mixed-bag like most of us. I heard him putting forth the hoodie theory yesterday morning and thought immediately about the Brooklyn rapist and how neighborhood groups were outraged that the cops had suggested that women not wear short skirts because they were a commonality among victims.

On the one hand, it's outrageous to suggest that a woman wearing a short skirt (or whatever) should have to change the way she dresses to avoid being a victim. On the other, if a rapist is targeting short skirts, it's also sensible not to wear them.

Geraldo was saying that not wearing a hoodie would be sensible. That's his opinion, and he did say in advance that he realized things shouldn't be this way. But, in his opinion, wearing a hoodie is "asking for it."

The Good Reverend is rocking a hoodie today..... They have now become en vogue because of my actions. :pimpdaddy:

I just wonder how long and how many links did he have to google to find a picture of two guys with hoodies on backwards?

I hope during the presidental debate it comes up whether or not to make wearing hoodies illegal in our country.

We have had rapists in our community rape a 5 year old girl and we had rapists rape a 91 year old lady. I don't think it matters what you are wearing or what you look like to some rapists. Perhaps it would be sensible for women to just have their vaginas sewn shut.

Yep, and for that I call him a retard. He can say that wearing a hoodie is not sensible. That's fine. Saying that he was "asking for it" is blaming the victim. That's retarded.

You're right; it is "blaming the victim." On the other hand, he may be right. He also said that he's told his dark-skinned young son (his words) why wearing a hoodie at certain times and in certain places is dumb.

I'm not saying that it's right or fair that a short skirt or a hoodie or whatever can be a provocation. But perhaps it is. Not everybody is sane or reasonable. It's not fair that a woman can't go into a bar alone the way a man can. It's definitely not fair. But reality is what it is, and if I'm going to a bar, I'm not going alone.

My son, like so many in his generation, is a hoodie-wearer. I've cautioned him many times about taking the hood OFF before walking into a convenience store or any other place where his intentions might be questioned... ditto with ski masks in the wintertime.

Wearing one on the street in the rain or the cold is different.

We all make choices in our lives, You may want to wear your 10k Hublot big bang evolution to a bar in Newark, and you may want to flash it around. If you get robbed, do you take any lessons learned from it?

A woman has the right to wear what she wants wherever, there are times however, common sense should over ride rightful indignation of the thought that wearing something super hot an sexy.... something designed to attract the attention of the opposite sex, may just get you attention you don't want, deserve, or desire.

Call it "blaming the woman" all you want, I'll call it common sense.

Geraldo is a Libertarian. He is anything buy liberal. He's far more aligned to your whack job party than anything else. And of course, he works for your favorite Kool Aid Stand. Fake News.

You are a member of the "blame the victim" party. :screwy
