A man who does no labor and expects reward is not society. I specifically said that the money would be put into the everyday American's wage.
Receiving money "from the government for simply existing ( not trading labor or value for it)" is precisely what we DON'T call a wage.
" give it to society" is a meaningless phrase...

Lol, we've heard the socialist losers saying that line for decades now. The Revolution is always just around the corner. What a larf.

OWS is toast. They had fifteen of brief media attention and they blew it. They've nothing of note except get arrested and annoy the living bejeezus out of the businesses around them. They have no power, no real support and the only people paying attention to them are the police.

Who gives a tinkers cuss about OWS anymore?

Almost half the country doesn't make a living wage, that is why they are unwilling to be continually bitten by the same financial deregulation/supply side economy dog that has been biting their ass for the last 30 years, while more and more of labor's wealth has been redistributed to those at the top.

    3. Yes, I know you said society. Society is people. (Soylent green is people!!!!)
    1. Yes, I do. High School. My wage is 0$ an hour. I would like a raise, but I somehow doubt that'll be happening.
    2. ...
    3. Giving money to people, and giving back to society aren't the same thing, you know.
Give back to society, and people obtain the money in their wages. You do know why we have taxes, right? It's the cost of being an American. Higher taxes are the cost of being a wealthy American. If you don't like it, then you can always switch to being a regular American.

When you talk about the Republican candidates, you have to say "Mitt or Newt," else you'll have to say "Neuter Mitt."

There are no Occupy leaders, and the majority of Occupy protesters across the nation do not want to bring down capitalism. They are just tired of being urinated on by those taking more and more of labor's wealth.

Unfortunately, the money goes to society through Congress, which is a real s***show if you haven't noticed! :-)

I started working in high school. I saved money to pay for my own car, clothing, etc. Are you planning on getting a job sometime soon?

Okay, your #3 didn't make much sense.

Yes, there are Occupy leaders. They organize the protests, start and run the websites, write for the Occupy Wall Street Journal, speak on panels about the Occupy movement, etc. I agree with you that the majority of OWS protesters don't want to eliminate capitalism. But the people with the real microphones do.

Re: Occupy 6-Month Anniversary Protest Ends With Zuccotti Park Arrests

I anticipated the non-violent argument when I posted this in post #53

May Day | #OWS Direct Action In these meetings we abide by the following community agreements:

    1. Our solidarity will be based on respect for a diversity of tactics and the plans of other groups
    2. We will create adequate space and/or time between separate actions to maximize personal choice, safety, and autonomy
    3. Any debates or criticisms will stay internal to the movement, avoiding any public or media denunciations of fellow activists or events
    4. We agree not to assist law enforcement actions against activists and others
Please check the calendar at Calendar | OWS Open Atrium for regularly updated information on meeting locations.
Remember comrades, the revolution must be organized. [...] PROPOSAL:

Morning: disruptive action around midtown (where financial firms have headqarters)

Noon: rally/march with May 1st coalition at Union Sq

    Evening rush hour: disruptive action
#1 is referring to the Black bloc tactic. As noted by the proposal of disruptive action to be carried out on May 1st. Notice that none of the 4 points said non-violence. #2 allows for there to be a safe distance between tactics being employed. Why would they even need to say that?
