Really? So the 1930's through 1970's were all about "equality"? Didn't the catholic church secretly support Hitler? Santorum is so bat-**** crazy, anyone here want to see him win the nomination?
Am I not destroying my enemies when I make friends of them?
    - Abraham Lincoln

Before the war is ended, the war party assumes the divine right to denounce and silence all opposition to war as unpatriotic and cowardly.
    - Robert M. LaFollette, Wisconsin Governor and U.S. Senator

God, how patient are Thy poor! These corporations and masters of manipulation in finance heaping up great fortunes by a system of legalized extortion,
and then exacting from the contributors--to whom a little means so much--a double share to guard the treasure!

    Santorum's Catholic, not Protestant.

Didn't the catholic church secretly support Hitler?
The Catholic church signed a concordat to stay alive no differently from the kulturkampf with Bismarck.

It also saved helped millions migrate and avoid the Holocaust not to mention millions of Catholics fought to stop it.

When I read the topic I thought I was in for a discussion on how the traditional moralities of religions or philosophies thousands of years old often conflict with modern moral opinion. Instead I got this trash.

and he is correct. the seemingly illogical notion that people are inherently equal on a basic level comes to us only from the West, and only in that culture after the internalization of the value that in Christ there is neither male nor female, jew nor greek, slave nor free.
