"I will never trust the government in any matter, ever." Re: Underwear Bomber
The following is the most recent blog post by Kurt Haskill. Kurt and his wife were on Northwest Airlines Flight 253 en route from Amsterdam to Detroit, Michigan on December 25, 2009. This is the same flight on which Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab (a.k.a. the Underwear Bomber) attempted to detonate his [unknown to him] fake bomb. Try to imagine yourself in Kurt's position as you read his statement (my emphasis):
I have been unable to find the referenced ABC News article by Brian Ross which is supposed to contain the following quote: "The government is looking into the identity of a man that helped Umar at Schiphol."

Due to my own personal experiences with international travel and with interactions with the secretive acronym bureaus I tend to come to the same conclusion as Mr. Haskill. The government is notorious for running "tests" without a single pause for consideration of the effects it has on people's lives. I hope this gives a few more people reason to seriously consider the government's involvement in various issues throughout history.
