While Gunfire Echoes Inside Syria, A Cry For Help From A City Under Attack(edited)

Re: While Gunfire Echoes Inside Syria, A Cry For Help From A City Under Attack(edited

Obama won't even help by giving the rebels arms, he is scared of something about this and I still think Putin told him to stay out of this.

Re: why not Syria

Syrian refugees are going into Turkey not Italy.. and European and US oil companies have NO capital invetments in Syria.

Obama is smart not to attack Syria...

Agreed. We should have nothing to do with Syria. I just love the way people bitch and complain about us invading countries, "occupying" countries, being "imperialists", and then when we don't do those things, we are inhumane. Whatever. I say let them kill each other off. Its none of our business. To all people that say we should be non-interventionalist, this is what it looks like. Be prepared to watch Arabs and the like kill each other off on the news everynight.

Re: why not Syria

Why should we help these idiots? They are the same people that let Al Qaeda members escape to their country from the Al Anbar province in Iraq when we where there. They are the same people who complained about us going into Iraq and Afghanistan. The same people who burned American flags. Let them have their little civil war and get it over with. Imagine if someone would have tried to intervene in our Civil War. How would our country look now?

The rebels are by no means a majority... and I'm not convinced we are getting much accurate information re: Syria.

I don't see Obama as afraid.. What is that saying.. Fools rush in ?

Obama rushed into Libya, he took credit for Egypt, he ignored Iran and now Syria. His foreign policy is erratic and leads to many questions. Syria meets every standard for intervention that he laid out for his bombing campaign in Libya so you really have to wonder what his decision making process is.

Re: While Gunfire Echoes Inside Syria, A Cry For Help From A City Under Attack(edited

Wow - a serious lack of outrage on this issue.

Have Americans become numb to mass murder by their own government?

And why does Hillary get a free pass for making all this happen?

Obama stalled and stalled over going into Libya.. drawing brutl criticism from conservatives.. He waited until NATO wanted it and the Arab League were begging. Remember that for weeks he asked Khadafi to respond the the people or institute reforms or step down.

And the US government had nothing to to with Egypt.

Kane... we don't have good intel coming out of Syria.. and I sure don't have any crystal ball.. but it appears that the majority of Syrians are NOT in rebellion.

Hillary is a nonentity in terms of the Facebook Revolution and the Arab Spring.

Re: While Gunfire Echoes Inside Syria, A Cry For Help From A City Under Attack(edited

This whole "Arab Spring" hasn't worked out well for the US. It looks like the leadership in Egypt may be anti-US, and now Libya is looking like a quagmire that will also become anti-US. How would this motivate Obama to spend money on Syria?

I didn't expect popular uprisings in the Arab world to have any benefit for the US.. In fact.. I think we would have been happy to have the status quo.

Obama gained NOTHING from this storm and already had plenty on his plate.

We have wised up and no longer pursue regime change.

Hillary was popular among seniors, but shes incompetent. Funny thing is, I told everyone to vote for Obama, but when election time came, I thought suddenly that he seemed phony for some reason, so i skipped the election. As it turned out, I was right. O'bummer is a NeoCon Republican. Anyways Hillary is a fascist warmonger.

"Since the US State Department literally is directing armies of protesters and their armed counterparts in the streets from Tunisia to Syria, from Belarus to Moscow, and from Myanmar to Bangkok and Malaysia, it would indeed make sense to reconfigure it into something more suitable to oversee warfare rather than diplomacy. It is the US State Department from which organizations like the National Endowment for Democracy and its myriad of seditious-sowing NGOs stem from and go forth manipulating foreign governments rather than dealing with them as equal sovereign states, a long running theme pursued throughout the upper echelons of the "globocratic" elite."

For all of you convinced the Arab Spring is "spontaneous".

"What then is the new anatomy of the great game? In the past, color revolutions were largely blueprinted in the offices of the political consultancies of "K" Street in Washington. But in the new format, the "technicians" attempting to shape the region [2] , hail directly from the US government: according to reports by senior official sources in the region, Jeffrey Feltman, a former ambassador in Lebanon, and presently assistant secretary of state, as chief coordinator [3], together with two former US ambassadors, Ron Schlicher and David Hale, who is also the new US Middle East Peace Envoy. Following is an exert from Obams speech on why we invaded Libya, after that is a link to what's happening in Syria. Can anyone explain why obama went into Libya but is content to let the same exact thing happen in Syria? Bush was accused of war for oil, could this be the same thing? USA doesn't get oil from Libya but remember, it's a world market.
Confronted by this brutal repression and a looming humanitarian crisis, I ordered warships into the Mediterranean. European allies declared their willingness to commit resources to stop the killing. The Libyan opposition and the Arab League appealed to the world to save lives in Libya. And so at my direction, America led an effort with our allies at the United Nations Security Council to pass a historic resolution that authorized a no-fly zone to stop the regime’s attacks from the air, and further authorized all necessary measures to protect the Libyan people.
Ten days ago, having tried to end the violence without using force, the international community offered Qaddafi a final chance to stop his campaign of killing, or face the consequences. Rather than stand down, his forces continued their advance, bearing down on the city of Benghazi, home to nearly 700,000 men, women and children who sought their freedom from fear.
At this point, the United States and the world faced a choice. Qaddafi declared he would show “no mercy” to his own people. He compared them to rats, and threatened to go door to door to inflict punishment. In the past, we have seen him hang civilians in the streets, and kill over a thousand people in a single day. Now we saw regime forces on the outskirts of the city. We knew that if we wanted — if we waited one more day, Benghazi, a city nearly the size of Charlotte, could suffer a massacre that would have reverberated across the region and stained the conscience of the world.
It was not in our national interest to let that happen. I refused to let that happen. And so nine days ago, after consulting the bipartisan leadership of Congress, I authorized military action to stop the killing and enforce U.N. Security Council Resolution 1973.

Wikileaks exposes U.S. role

"An article entitled "U.S. secretly backed Syrian opposition groups" by Craig Whitlock (Washington Post, April 18) described in great detail the information contained in U.S. diplomatic cables that Wikileaks had sent to news agencies around the world and posted on its web site. The article summarizes what these State Department cables reveal about the secret funding of Syrian political opposition groups, including the beaming of anti-government programming into the country via satellite television."

The problem with most radio is the hosts reinforce the status quo, even while pretending to be against it. It is just incredible that Alex Jones would try to discredit Wikileaks just as revelations by Assange hit newstands. Assange is obviously trying to stop violence by releasing the cables. A quote from Infowars reads: "It is now obvious Wikileaks is an intelligence operation and its frontman Julian Assange is a useful idiot. The latest round of documents are like the worst sort of neocon propaganda in the lead-up to the invasion of Iraq in 2003." Holy Big Brother Batman! Talk about your Cointelpro radio hosts!

“The only thing for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing”-- Edmund Burke

"After a decade of sanctions, up to one million Iraqi children had died, with 500,000 adults buried in graves as well, the products of easily preventable disease, the products of a nation not being allowed to have medicine, supplies and the necessary machines that can save lives. Close to 5,000 children were dying every month, to say nothing of those whose brain and body development became stagnant due to malnutrition. By the beginning of the 21st century, the American Empire had caused the death of 1.5 million Iraqis, spirits like you and I, never to take a breath of air or a gulp of water, never having the opportunity to grow old and enjoy the wonders of life, perishing in a war upon the Iraqi people they were impotent to wage war against."

"For no ethnic minority or religious group can claim a monopoly on Holocaust, no matter how convenient it has become, no matter how beneficial its incantation and remembrance may be. Holocaust is an all-inclusive devastation, a human wickedness that preys upon all peoples, throughout all time and space, whether they be from 20th century Armenia, Korea, Manchuria, Vietnam, Cambodia, Philippines, Uganda, Congo, Rwanda, Sudan, Mao’s China, Stalin’s Soviet Union, Yugoslavia or World War II’s wickedness, which killed tens of millions in Russia and more than a dozen in Germany and Eastern Europe. The term Holocaust is not exclusive to any one particular group, nor can its use be defined by Empire's propagandists or by history’s victors."

Why don't the Saudi's pay for it?

"Al-Jazeera further shot itself in the foot when it began covering the CIA’s coup attempt in Libya, peddling rumors, outright fabrications, unverified statistics and anti-Qaddafi propaganda as legitimate journalism to justify NATO’s invasion. Al-Jazeera’s work on Libya has been nothing short of warmongering (77). This is to be expected though, and not only because of the undeniable Zionism of Al-Jazeera. Al-Jazeera’s patron, the despot of Qatar, is entrenched in the criminal war being waged against Libya. The CIA-backed, Israeli-advised rebels are receiving anti-tank weapons from Qatar (78), they have already signed an oil-marketing deal with Qatar (79), and together, the Qatar Emir and the Libyan rebels have begged America like dogs to amp up its destruction of Libya (80). With Libya under NATO siege and Egypt’s revolution hijacked and crushed, Al-Jazeera turned its attention to Syria."

In Egypt, obama was right there with the freedom protesters. Egypt had been an Allie in the middle east.

In Liby obama was right there with bombs and million dollar missiles. Qaddafifi had surrendered his nuke program to the US and was no threat to us whatsoever.

In Iran the freedom protesters was virtually ignored by obama. Iran is a threat to us and the entire mid east.

Now in Syria obama again does virtually nothing to help the freedom fighters. Syria has been a huge thorn in our side. All the reasons obama gave for bombing libya and launching 100s of million dollar missles exist in Syria except squared. If some reporter tries to trip up this rep candidate, whoever he is, by asking what the obama doctrine is they can legitimately say I have absolutely no idea.

Yeah mass murder - its just another reason America is #1, aye?

Yeah - heil Hillary. Whatever.

Casualties are just a footnote to the Oil Oligarchs like Hillary the CFR stooge.
