Excellent post Turtle - well said.

There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers

im thinking back, trying to remember if I ever witnessed a collapse.

I don't think I have, but my mom watched a building on Delancey Street in Manhattan collapse like 20 years ago.

Only when it was deliberate (ie a blasting implosion)

Ummm- no. I already knew that no one was killed, and I don't know any of the workers. Sorry- but I don't fake queasy feelings about people I don't know.

What makes this somewhat "interesting" is the fact that in Cleveland, another casino build using the same "Horseshoe" design suffered a collapse, albeit with no injuries, a while ago.

I drive past that site every day (off today) and it has created a traffic nightmare. witnesses claim the steel frame failed
Ohio has casinos in all of it's major cities?

    How quaint.
