Marianne Gingrich has said she could end her ex-husband's career with a single interv

Seek help.

Re: Marianne Gingrich has said she could end her ex-husband's career with a single in

Gingrich made a speech bashing liberals about "family values" the day after he told Marriane he was dumping her. She mentions the incident in her interview.

Marianne Gingrich, Newt’s ex-wife, says he wanted ‘open marriage’ - The Washington Post
What exactly was he running for in 1999?

Like I said...he aint no saint...I dont think anyone thought he was. his history of marital infidelity is pretty well known. Has he ever denied it? Or more importantly, lied under oath about it?

I will say this...anyone that has an affair and then marries the person that he had the affair WITH is foolish. How do you start a relationship on "yeah...I know he ****ed around on her...with me...but he wouldnt do that TO me..."?

wow have the family values side of the GOP crumbled.

For the record Rush, Newt only asked for an open marriage after his affair was exposed.

There were two parts to the request from what I read...an open marriage or a divorce. Sounds to me like they didnt have much of a marriage and they both knew it.

I believe we are seeing, once again, that "Hell hath no fury like the wrath ................ "

And another liberal hypocrisy feeding frenzy ;)

He's running NOW. His record matters, NOW.

So it's fair game to talk about. Fine. Not all his supporters are aware of it either.

Yes, there's a good story in the New Yorker magazine where the reporter asks Callista's mother about that (but not Callista, unfortunately).

Of course! His job is to make hypocritical excuses.

Re: Marianne Gingrich has said she could end her ex-husband's career with a single in

Gingrich already answered the questions. Yet liberals continue to harp on obtuse stupidity.

Gingrich has already answered what questions? The ones misterman asked?

On what planet?

On this planet, you're still dodging the questions. That pretty says everything about the honesty of your posts.

Re: Marianne Gingrich has said she could end her ex-husband's career with a single in

And he's campaigning for the Republican nomination - against other Republicans. Yet it's all the liberals' fault, as usual.

Whenever you criticize them using their own values, they spit on their own values rather than admit fault. It's really quite pathetic.

Rightwingres don't have an honest bone in their body. Some are so dishonest, they won't even say if they think it's wrong to lie

Meh...tempest in a teapot. She just aired her dirty laundry thinking she could make a guy that everyone knows is an adulterer an adulterer. Me...Im kind of a mean prick when it comes to stuff like that, so I might put out a statement like "I really feel bad about cheating on her but ****ing her was like what I would imagine ****ing a dead fish feels like and living with her was like 24/7 nails on a chalkboard. I'm sure I'm no picnic to live with either either. Its no excuse...I should have been a better man...I wasnt. I'm truly sorry for the pain I have caused her. Now...about foreign policy..."

Re: Marianne Gingrich has said she could end her ex-husband's career with a single in

I suggest you ask your parents, or your minister, or someone whom you look to for ethical guidance. "Not difficult questions", as you say. But what is troubling is that you feel a need to ask them, and I believe any of those recommendations may help you better with that.

Best of luck. ;)

More dodging.

Only a rightwinger could be so dishonest that they're scared to say that it's wrong to lie

I dont care that its talked about...I think thats my point. Just once i would love to see a politician stand up and SAY...loud and proud...yes...I did that. Not my brightest moment. If you are looking for a saint...by all means...dont vote for me...cuz...daaaaaamn..."

Re: Marianne Gingrich has said she could end her ex-husband's career with a single in

Can you show any of us where Clinton, the candidate, acknowledged his earlier transgressions ? Asked for forgiveness while a candidate ? Made any affirmation that he had sought redemption, and changed his ways, while as a candidate ?

What I see is that after '92, Clinton was still thinking with his little head.

Your posts are so dishonest that you can't even say that you think it's wrong to lie

Maybe that's why you ignore the fact that Bill and Hillary gave an interview (known as the "Stand by your man" interview) where Bill did exactly what you say he didn't

Believe it or not, not everyone knows, even today. This week's New Yorker has a story about him describing Gingrich supporters in SC who had no idea.

That does happen, but rarely. It would be refreshing. Also smart - better than letting it linger on forever.

Yes, most rightwingers are bigots, in addition to being dishonest

saying every right winger is a liar makes you the bigot

i don't think that's necessarily true. i know many right wingers and although i disagree with their politics, they are honest people. don't let some of the scum on this board influence your views.

unless, of course, you mean right wing pols, i might tend to agree with you there. although we don't have the opportunity to see them all in action, we just get to hear the squeaky ones.

No, its just always entertaining to watch libs blow a gasket and go ad-hom. Not hard to do evidently.

Look, if you and your sidekick want to start a thread about whether or not adultery is good or bad, right or wrong, then there's probably a place somewhere in this forum for it. Seeing as I have seen no one defend either practice in this thread, it may just be the two of you kind of like Beevis and Butthead though.

As you post here often enough, that I and others do not care to participate in the petty hijacking of a thread should not surprise you, much less so easily provoke you to always resort to the ad-homs.

Newt has acknowledged his poor judgement and error, and made numerous public apologies. Google it if you doubt it, but you would not question my honesty mano-a-mano, I assure you. As I said, there are many issues here, but only you and another have raised the question of whether or not lying and adultery are good or bad.

And now they do. Clinton is still a beloved character. Kennedy is considered by many to be a saint. Marital infidelity is IMPORTANT as a personal characteristic...just not that big a deal I think in regard to most people in their politicians. Now...I would COMPLETELY AGREE with people if he has been saying 'I believe in the sanctity of marriage!" during this election that he is a hypocrite. And I will also admit...I dont follow the GOP debates all that much. I dont really care...not going to vote for one of them. So maybe he has been campaigning on family values...I just havent seen it. Frankly, unless Gingrich were to come out, look into the cameras, and deny it...I dont think many of the voters are going to care one way or the other. Conservative voters really arent that different than liberal voters.

I posted a link to Rush Limbaugh defending it, even calling Newt the victim.

Was Hillary wearing a cigar in that one ? Can you show me the passage then where Bill says that he has had affairs ?

No, you linked me to a parody of Limbaugh pointing out the hypocrisy of the left.

Maybe you can link to a poster here claiming that adultery is good ?

Thanks in advance. ;)
