Rick Perry Defends Marines Who Urinated On Corpses

You sure?

yes, unless you can show me the part of the UCMJ that proves that this is a crime. Looking forward to that.

If someone went out an peed on a U.S. soldier's grave in Arlington, what would you think of that? Just curious.

Are you seriously comparing some Taliban scumbag to an American serviceman?

Are you seriously comparing some Taliban scumbag to an American serviceman?

Do you seriously not understand that the difference between the two is that American servicemen are held to a higher standard?

You're inventing fake standards.

Bull****. I am merely applying the same standards that have always applied to American servicemen. You are allowing your own blind, stupid hatred to override your common sense and your sense of basic human decency. You are trying to make the argument that the moral standards and the code of conduct expected of American soldiers in every war this nation has fought do not apply to this war because of your contempt for the enemy.

You are a better man than this.

It's very true. I've posted the infantry's mission in this thread and it explains about killing the enemy, not doing PR.

War is ungly and armies aren't public relations tools.

Like hell they aren't.

Atrocities kill Americans.

So they're the same, and are held to the same standards?

So it's fine if a U.S. soldier's body is pissed on? It's just war?

No need for comparison. The United States of America has agreed to the Geneva Convention. Soldiers are also given Rules of Engagement instructions. Neither one of those pieces of paper say, ".....unless we're dealing with scumbags."
