Michelle Obama: "Distressed" about Daley, Madigan, Hynes clout

If she said it, she said nothing different than most people. The Daley Machine is hardly anything new. But where did she say it? That's more my point than anything else.

Allow me to clarify: The "justification" I was referring to related to the FLOTUS' commentary of the Daley's, Madigan's and Hynes' was in how they used strong-arm tactics in the past to get what they wanted. I merely used the Gary Municiple Airport project as an example of the Daley's Chicago-style underhandedness.

Again, I agree. Which again brings up the question as to why Obama brought him to D.C.
Because as much as he might not have liked all of it, he was involved in Chicago/Illinois politics. I have no doubt that the Daley's did him some favors. He was probably returning them.

Of course. As noted though if someone else had (if she indeed did) complain using the kind of terms she did about another race there would be a major uproar.

Funny though. We both can recognize the problems with some like Bill Daley but yet, Obama brings him to D.C.

Maybe William Daley was a better man of character and personal integrity than either Richard J. (father) or Richard M. (son) Daley.
